Limit monomial groups
Bostan, Sezen; Kuzucuoğlu, Mahmut; Department of Mathematics (2021-3-03)
In this thesis, monomial groups, which are obtained by using strictly diagonal embeddings of complete monomial groups over a group of finite degree, are studied. The direct limit of complete monomial groups of finite degree with strictly diagonal embeddings is called limit monomial group . Normal subgroup structure of limit monomial groups over abelian groups is studied. We classified all subgroups of rational numbers, containing integers, by using base subgroup of limit monomial groups. We also studied the...
Dimension Decoupled Region Proposal Network For Object Detection
Baytekin, Mehmet Can; Özkan Yıldırım, Sevgi; Çimtay, Yücel; Department of Information Systems (2023-1)
In this work, we propose a dynamic anchor, dynamic assignment region proposal network named DA2RPN to improve the traditional Region Proposal Network (RPN). Classical Region Proposal Network places a set of pre-determined anchor boxes to generate object proposals which are later consumed by detection heads to produce final results. Problems of the Region Proposal Network are for each feature map point same anchor boxes are placed and static threshold values based on intersection-overunion scores are used to...
Limit angular velocities of variable thickness rotating disks
Eraslan, Ahmet Nedim (2002-06-01)
Elastic and plastic limit angular velocities are calculated for rotating disks of variable thickness in power function form. Analytical solution is obtained and used to calculate elastic limit angular velocities of variable thickness rotating annular disks and annular disks with rigid inclusion. An efficient numerical solution procedure is designed and used to obtain the elastic limit angular velocities of variable thickness rotating solid disks. Von Mises yield criterion and its flow rule is used to estima...
Limit Margin Prediction For Helicopters Using Long Term Learning Adaptive Neural Networks
Yavrucuk, İlkay (null; 2011-09-13)
In this paper a methodology is presented for estimating helicopter limit margins using real-time learning dynamic models featuring long term (concurrent) learning adaptive neural networks. Limit margin estimations can be used in envelope protection systems of fly-by-wire helicopters. Linear models are compensated with adaptive neural networks to construct adaptive models of relevant aircraft dynamics. A stack of data collected during flight is used to update the network weights. The data stack for learning ...
Maximal page crossing number of embedded closed legendrian surfaces in closed contact 5-manifolds
Erşen, Özlem; Arıkan, M. Fırat,; Department of Mathematics (2020)
The main purpose of this thesis is to introduce a new Legendrian isotopy invariantfor any closed orientable Legendrian surfaceLembedded in a closed contact5- man-ifold(M,ξ)which admits an "admissable" open book(B,f)(supportingξ) forL.We show that to any suchLand a fixed pageX, one can assign an integerMPX(L),called "Relative Maximal Page Crossing Number ofLwith respect toX", which isinvariant under Legendrian isotopies ofL. We also show that one can extend thisto a page-free invariant, i.e., one can assign ...
