Reisnerr-Nordstrom Spacetime Geometry: Derivation of the Euler and Burgers Models
Okutmuştur, Baver (2018-7-07)
A relativistic generalization of the Euler and Burgers models have recently been introduced and analyzed both theoretically and numerically. In this work we extend these analysis to a particular type of the Lorentzian manifold, so called the Reissnerr-Nordström (RS) spacetime geometry. We introduce basic properties of the R-S spacetime and its metric components containing electrical charge term which distinguish the R-S spacetime from the Schwarzshild geometry. Furthermore, we present a derivation of the Eu...
Marching distance functions for smooth control of hyperbolic grids
Durmus, G; Kavsaoglu, MS (2000-10-01)
The smooth control of hyperbolic grids is achieved by using marching distance functions. The marching distance can be expressed as a function of grid control. The derivative expressions of the linearized hyperbolic equations are approximated by second order central differences.
Scherk-Schwarz reduction of effective string theories in even dimensions
Özer (Çatal), Aybike; Karasu, Emine Ayşe; Department of Physics (2003)
Scherk-Schwarz reductions are a generalization of Kaluza-Klein reductions in which the higher dimensional fields are allowed to have a dependence on the compactiifed coordinates. This is possible only if the higher dimensional theory has a global symmetry and the dependence is dictated by this symmetry. In this thesis we consider generalised Scherk Schwarz reductions of supergravity and superstring theories with twists by electromagnetic dualities that are symmetries of the equations of motion but not of th...
Pseudospin and spin symmetry in Dirac-Morse problem with a tensor potential
AYDOĞDU, OKTAY; Sever, Ramazan (Elsevier BV, 2011-09-14)
Under the conditions of the pseudospin and spin symmetry, approximate analytical solutions of the Dirac-Morse problem with Coulomb-like tensor potential are presented. The energy eigenvalue equations are found and corresponding radial wave functions are obtained in terms of confluent hypergeometric functions. The energy eigenvalues are calculated numerically in the absence and presence of the tensor potential. We also investigate the contribution of the potential parameters to the energy splitting of the ps...
