Block-based methods for the reconstruction of finite-length signals from nonuniform samples
Tuncer, Temel Engin (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2007-02-01)
Two novel block-based algorithms are presented for the reconstruction of uniform samples given the nonuniform samples. The first algorithm uses a sinc interpolator whereas the second one uses a DFT-based interpolator. It is shown that the proposed algorithms are stable and the error due to noise and sampling jitter is bounded by the corresponding error norms of noise and jitter, respectively. We show that both of the block-based algorithms provide nearly perfect reconstruction for a class of practically tim...

JORDAN TYPES OF COMMUTING NILPOTENT MATRICES
Öztürk, Semra (2018-01-01)
Let A and B be matrices which are polynomials in r pairwise commuting nilpotent matrices over a field. We give a sufficient condition for the null space of A(i) to equal that of B-i for all i, in particular, for A and B to be similar.
Hierarchical maximal covering location problem with referral in the presence of partial coverage
Töreyen, Özgün; Karasakal, Esra; Department of Operational Research (2007)
We consider a hierarchical maximal covering location problem to locate p health centers and q hospitals in such a way that maximum demand is covered, where health centers and hospitals have successively inclusive hierarchy. Demands are 3 types: demand requiring low-level service only, demand requiring high-level service only, and demand requiring both levels of service at the same time. All types of requirements of a demand point should be either covered by hospital providing both levels of service or refer...
