Sözlü Türkçe Derlemi ve Türkçe Ulusal Derleminde U(lan)’ın Edimbilimsel Bir İncelemesi

2017-07-01

The Corpus of Turkish Youth Language (COTY): The compilation and interactional dynamics of a spoken corpus
Efeoğlu Özcan, Esranur; Işık Güler, Hale; English Language Teaching (2022-9-2)
This study examines the previously unattained research area of contemporary spoken Turkish used in dyadic and multi-party interaction among young speakers of Turkish. The languages chosen for the investigation are on the one hand, typologically diverse with respect to the constructions containing high negation, thus providing the researcher with a fruitful empirical research base for drawing cross-linguistic inferences and on the other, they are languages whose speakers the researcher can consu...
Eye movement control in Turkish reading: a corpus-analytic approach
Beken Fikri, Figen; Acartürk, Cengiz; Department of Cognitive Sciences (2015)
In this thesis, the eye movement parameters during Turkish reading were examined in terms of the characteristics of the words. These eye movement parameters were first fixation landing position, first fixation duration, gaze duration, refixation probability and skipping probability. The text characteristics were specified by word length, launch site, word frequency, and word predictability. A corpus-analytic approach was employed in order to achieve a general picture of Turkish reading patterns. The analyse...
Cross-lingual information retrieval on Turkish and English texts
Boynueğri, Akif; Birtürk, Ayşe Nur; Department of Computer Engineering (2010)
In this thesis, cross-lingual information retrieval (CLIR) approaches are comparatively evaluated for Turkish and English texts. As a complementary study, knowledge-based methods for word sense disambiguation (WSD), which is one of the most important parts of the CLIR studies, are compared for Turkish words. Query translation and sense indexing based CLIR approaches are used in this study. In query translation approach, we use automatic and manual word sense disambiguation methods and Google translation ser...
The Use of multimetric framework in calibrating the HBV model
Sürer, Serdar; Akyürek, Sevda Zuhal; Yılmaz, Koray Kamil; Department of Geodetic and Geographical Information Technologies (2015)
In this study, the HBV model is applied on the upper Euphrates basin in Turkey. Individual sensitivity of the parameters is analyzed by calibrating the model using the Multi-Objective Shuffled Complex Evolution (MOSCEM) algorithm. The calibration is performed against snow cover area (SCA) in addition to runoff data for the water years 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Detailed validation studies are also performed for the snow products namely snow recognition (H10) and snow water equivalent (H13) over Turkey and A...
