Thermoluminescence properties of Tl2Ga2S3Se layered single crystals
DELİCE, SERDAR; Isik, M.; Bulur, Enver; Hasanlı, Nızamı (AIP Publishing, 2013-05-21)
The trap center(s) in Tl2Ga2S3Se single crystals has been investigated from thermoluminescence (TL) measurements in the temperature range of 10-300 K. Curve fitting, initial rise, and peak shape methods were applied to observed TL glow curve to evaluate the activation energy, capture cross section, and attempt-to-escape frequency of the trap center. One trapping center has been revealed with activation energy of 16 meV. Moreover, the characteristics of trap distribution have been studied using an experiment...
Thermoluminescence characteristics of Tl4GaIn3S8 layered single crystals
Delice, S.; IŞIK, MEHMET; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2014-01-12)
The properties of trapping centres in - as grown - Tl4GaIn3S8 layered single crystals were investigated in the temperature range of 10-300K using thermoluminescence (TL) measurements. TL curve was analysed to characterize the defects responsible for the observed peaks. Thermal activation energies of the trapping centres were determined using various methods: curve fitting, initial rise and peak shape methods. The results indicated that the peak observed in the low-temperature region composed of many overlap...
Thermoluminescence characteristics of Bi 12 SiO 20 single crystals
Isik, M.; SARIGÜL, NESLİHAN; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Elsevier BV, 2020-08-01)
Trapping center properties of bismuth silicon oxide (Bi12SiO20) single crystals were investigated by thermoluminescence (TL) measurements performed in the 50–400 °C temperature range. Experimental TL curve recorded at heating rate of 1 °C/s presented two overlapped peaks around 279 and 362 °C. The heating rate dependency of TL curve was also studied for heating rates between 1 and 6 °C/s. The measured TL curves were analyzed using curve fitting, initial rise and different heating rate methods. The results o...

Thermoluminescence properties of ZnO nanoparticles in the temperature range 10-300 K
IŞIK, MEHMET; YILDIRIM, TACETTİN; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2016-04-01)
Low-temperature thermoluminescence (TL) properties of ZnO nanoparticles grown by sol-gel method were investigated in the 10-300 K temperature range. TL glow curve obtained at 0.2 K/s constant heating rate exhibited one broad peak around 83 K. The observed peak was analyzed using curve fitting method to determine the activation energies of trapping center(s) responsible for glow curve. Analyses resulted in the presence of three peaks at 55, 85 and 118 K temperatures with activation energies of 12, 30 and 45 ...
