Quantitative analysis of biofluid spots by coated blade spray mass spectrometry, a new approach to rapid screening

This study demonstrates the quantitative capabilities of coated blade spray (CBS) mass spectrometry (MS) for the concomitant analysis of multiple target substances in biofluid spots. In CBS-MS the analytes present in a given sample are first isolated and enriched in the thin coating of the CBS device. After a quick rinsing of the blade surface, as to remove remaining matrix, the analytes are quickly desorbed with the help of a solvent and then directly electrosprayed into the MS analyzer. Diverse pain manag...

Objectives: To compare measurements obtained by micro-CT with those obtained by confocal laser scanning microscope in simulative internal resorption cavities.
Quantitative analysis of the influence of strain hardening on equal channel angular pressing process
ŞİMŞİR, Caner; Karpuz, Pinar; Gür, Cemil Hakan (Elsevier BV, 2010-05-01)
Equal channel angular pressing is a promising severe plastic deformation method. The objective is to achieve high and homogeneous deformation in the workpiece. However, corner gap formed during the process has a pronounced effect on strain homogeneity and should be taken into account for proper die design. Although there exits several publications reporting the effect of strain hardening behavior of the workpiece on corner gap formation, the literature lacks a quantitative study on the subject. In this stud...
Quantitative analysis of planktonic foraminifera across the Cretaceous-Paleogene transition and observations on the extinction horizon, Haymana Basin, Turkey
Karabeyoğlu, Uygar; Altıner, Sevinç; Altıner, Demir (Elsevier BV, 2019-12-01)
The Haymana Basin, Turkey, hosts complete record of sedimentation across the Cretaceous-Paleogene (K-Pg) boundary. To examine the K-Pg boundary transition and delineate the bioevents, two consecutive sections (UH and UKHB) were measured and sampled at high resolution. Three biozones were established: Plummerita hantkeninoides, P0 and P alpha. A detailed quantitative study on planktonic foraminifera was carried out for the P. hantkeninoides and the P0 zones for 63 150 mu m and >150 mu m size fractions. Resul...
