Potential Energy Surfaces for Vibrational Structure Calculations from a Multiresolution Adaptive Density-Guided Approach: Implementation and Test Calculations
Sparta, Manuel; Hoyvik, Ida-Marie; Toffolı, Danıele; Christiansen, Ove (American Chemical Society (ACS), 2009-07-30)
A multiresolution procedure to construct potential energy surfaces (PESs) for use in vibrational structure calculations is developed in the framework of the adaptive density-guided approach. The implementation of the method allows the construction of hybrid PESs with different mode-coupling terms calculated with a variety of combinations of electronic structure methods and basis sets. Furthermore, the procedure allows the construction of hybrid PESs that incorporate a variety of contributions and correction...
Potential flow solutions with wakes over an ogive cylinder
Tuncer, İsmail Hakkı (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), 1998-05-01)
An incompressible panel code is employed to compute the flow over an ogive cylinder body with an overall length of 7.5 diameter. Flow separation is modeled by vortex wakes attached to the base region and the leeward sides of the cylinder body. The computed surface pressures and integrated normal force and pitching-moment coefficients are found to be in good agreement with the experimental data up to 20-deg incidence. This favorable agreement suggests that the panel codes may be a computationally efficient t...
Vortex lattices in dipolar two-component Bose-Einstein condensates
Ghazanfari, N.; Keleş, Ahmet; Oktel, M. O. (2014-02-01)
We consider a rapidly rotating two-component Bose-Einstein condensate with short-range s-wave interactions as well as dipolar coupling. We calculate the phase diagram of vortex lattice structures as a function of the intercomponent s-wave interaction and the strength of the dipolar interaction. We find that the long-range interactions cause new vortex lattice structures to be stable and lead to a richer phase diagram. Our results reduce to the previously found lattice structures for short-range interactions...

Energy Band Diagram And Current Transport Mechanism In p-MgO/n-Ga4Se3S
QASRAWI, ATEF FAYEZ HASAN; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2015-01-01)
A p-n heterojunction made of MgO and Ga4Se3S single crystal has been successfully produced. The current-voltage curve analysis has shown that the current conduction mechanism is mostly governed by the Richardson-Schottky mechanism. The width of the effective interface region of the p-n junction was found to be 3.72x10(-5)cm. The work function and the electron affinity of the Ga4Se3S crystals were also determined as 4.32 and 3.96 eV, respectively. On the other hand, the capacitance-voltage curve analysis, wh...
