Recently, LHCb Collaboration announced the discovery of radial excitations of D-s and B-s mesons. In present work, we calculate the most promising strong and electromagnetic decay widths of radially excited D-s (2S) and B-s (2S) mesons within the light cone QCD sum rules method.

Integrated optical modulators with zero index metamaterials based on photonic crystal slab waveguides
Yildirim, Mustafa; GÖVDELİ, ALPEREN; Kocaman, Serdar (2019-01-01)
A novel integrated optical modulator design is presented using zero index metamaterial-based Mach-Zehnder Interferometer with photonic crystal phase shifters. The phase modulation relies on the shift between the photonic bandgaps having non-zero and zero effective refractive indices. A small change in the bulk index results in an effective index change between the arms of the MZI due to the disturbance of the band structure. Thus, such a structure provides a new approach for phase modulation on integrated o...
Highly Sensitive and Tunable Fano-like Rod-Type Silicon Photonic Crystal Refractive Index Sensor
Kılıç, Selahattin Cem; Kocaman, Serdar (2021-01-01)
IEEEA highly sensitive and tunable 2D rod-type silicon photonic crystal cavity based biosensor configuration has been designed and numerically analyzed. The structure is optimized so that the light-matter interaction is maximized in the cavity region. Out-of-plane light confinement is achieved by sandwiching the rods between metal plates, and tuning is achieved by introducing an air-gap between on top of the rods and the metal plate. A single rod is positioned in the middle of the waveguide so that the cavi...
Timing Noise of Magnetars

We represent noise strength analysis of Anomalous X-Ray Pulsars (AXPs) 4U 0142+61, 1RXS J170849.9-400910, 1E 1841-045, 1E 2259+586 and Soft Gamma Repeaters (SGRs) SGR J1833-0832, SWIFT J1822.3-1606 and SWIFT J1834.9-0846 together with the X-Ray binaries GX 1+4 and 4U 1907+09 for comparison with accreting sources. Using our timing solutions, we extracted residuals of pulse arrival times after removal of spin down trends and we calculated assoicated noise strength of each source. Our preliminary results indic...
Structural properties of ZnO binary alloy nanosystems: molecular-dynamics simulations
Kılıç, Mehmet Emin; Erkoç, Şakir; Department of Physics (2015)
ZnO nanostructures revealed novel implementations in optoelectronics, sensors, transducers and biomedical sciences. There are different shapes of ZnO nanostructures such as zero dimensional-0D (quantum dots, nanoparticles), one dimensional-1D (nanorods, nanowires, nanotubes) and two dimensional-2D (nanosheets) and their properties have been experimentally prepared and investigated. Thus, ZnO is one of the richest family of nanostructures among all materials, both in structures and in properties. In this the...
Non Linear Sigma Model on the Fuzzy Supersphere
Kürkcüoğlu, Seçkin (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2004-03-01)
In this note we develop fuzzy versions of the supersymmetric non-linear sigma model on the supersphere S-(2,S-2). In [1] Bott projectors have been used to obtain the fuzzy CP1 model. Our approach utilizes the use of supersymmetric extensions of these projectors. Here we obtain these (super) -projectors and quantize them in a fashion similar to the one given in [1]. We discuss the interpretation of the resulting model as a finite dimensional matrix model.
