Direct Adaptive Limit and Control Margin Estimation with Concurrent Learning
Gursoy, Gonenc; Yavrucuk, İlkay (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), 2016-6)
In this paper, two vital signals to enable flight envelope protection, namely the onset to the flight envelope (limit margin) and the available control travel to reach the limit boundary (control margin), are estimated using improved noniterative adaptive neural-network-based approximate models. The adaptive elements use current and past information (concurrent learning) and have guaranteed signal bounds. Minimum singular value maximization is used to record data for concurrent learning. Results showed bett...
THE G(B)ASTERISK(B-PI) COUPLING-CONSTANT IN QCD SUM-RULES
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; ILTAN, E; PAK, NK (1995-05-25)
The decay constant for the strong off-shell B* --> B pi decay in the context of QCD sum rules is calculated.
Recursion operator and dispersionless rational Lax representation
Zheltukhın, Kostyantyn (2002-05-01)
We consider equations arising from dispersionless rational Lax representations. A general method to construct recursion operators for such equations is given. Several examples are given, including a degenerate bi-Hamiltonian system with a recursion operator
FORCED HARMONIC RESPONSE ANALYSIS OF NONLINEAR STRUCTURES USING DESCRIBING FUNCTIONS
TANRIKULU, O; KURAN, B; Özgüven, Hasan Nevzat; IMREGUN, M (1993-07-01)
The dynamic response of multiple-degree-of-freedom nonlinear structures is usually determined by numerical integration of the equations of motion, an approach which is computationally very expensive for steady-state response analysis of large structures. In this paper, an alternative semianalytical quasilinear method based on the describing function formulation is proposed for the harmonic response analysis of structures with symmetrical nonlinearities. The equations of motion are converted to a set of nonl...
Theoretical and experimental investigation on centrifugal fan with a special interest on fan noise
Bayraktar, Songül; Eralp, O. Cahit; Department of Mechanical Engineering (2006)
In this study, the effects of design parameters on the fan noise level are investigated both theoretically and experimentally. For the theoretical study, a computational aero- acoustic method is used to predict the flow induced noise of a fan. This method involves the coupling of a flow solver and a wave equation solver. Unsteady flow analysis is performed with URANS using FLUENT. Then the time dependent data are processed with LMS Sysnoise to compute the acoustic radiation. Experimental studies are perform...
