This volume is split into two accessible sections. The first part concentrates on the impact of the crisis on growth, inequality, policy responses and policy shifts in key areas such as central banking. The second part comprises individual country case studies and includes an exploration of the vulnerabilities related to the integration of developing economies into the world economy. The effect of the crisis on trade, and the ways in which some developing countries have entered into a prolonged period of stagnant growth following the global crisis are all considered.

THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN GENERAL-CIRCULATION - FEATURES, STRUCTURE AND VARIABILITY
ROBINSON, AR; GOLNARAGHI, M; LESLIE, WG; ARTEGIANI, A; HECHT, A; LAZZONI, E; MICHELATO, A; SANSONE, E; THEOCHARIS, A; UNLUATA, U (1991-04-01)
Maps are presented for dynamic height and geostrophic flow in the upper thermocline based upon four basin-wide hydrographic surveys during 1985-1987. The data collection was coordinated, intercalibrated and pooled by the international research programme for Physical Oceanography of the Eastern Mediterranean (POEM). Objective analysis mapping was constrained to have no normal flow into the coasts. These maps reveal a new picture of the general circulation in which sub-basin-scale gyres are interconnected by ...
gamma-Gruneisen relations close to lambda-phase transitions in NH4Cl
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (1996-08-01)
In this study we have correlated the frequency shifts of the acoustic modes to the volume changes by means of our gamma-Gruneisen relations near the lambda-phase transitions in NH4Cl. Using the acoustic frequencies and the length-change data for NH4Cl from the literature, we first calculated the Gruneisen gamma values for the LA modes along the (100) and (110) directions and for the TA mode along the (110) direction. We then predicted the acoustic mode frequencies across the lambda-phase transitions in NH4Cl.
Effect of lattice structures on natural frequency of SLA fabricated parts
Kayiran, Ali Murat; Yaman, Ulaş (2019-01-01)
Modifying the interior structure of the artifacts improves not only the strength of the parts but also the dynamic responses of them which can be tuned according to the resonance frequencies of the mounting platforms. Additive Manufacturing (AM) approaches are the finest solutions for the fabrications of these parts with structured interiors. In this study, the main aim is to analyse the effect of improved lattice structures on the natural frequencies of the parts optimized for compliance. The effects of co...
Metadiscourse across Genres: Uncovering Textual and Interactional Aspects of Texts
Hatipoğlu, Çiler; Bayyurt Kerestecioğlu, Yasemin (Peter Lang Publishing, Inc., 2017-05-01)
Taking metadiscourse as their starting point, the contributions to this edited volume focus both on the interactive and cross-cultural aspects of written texts from varying genres. Using rich and innovative data collection and analysis methods, comparing and contrasting patterns in frequently studied (English, Japanese) with understudied (Turkish, Russian/Ukrainian) languages, and relating empirical data to a web of theoretical frameworks, the articles in this book clearly display the variety, complexity an...
A novel low noise active circuit replacement criteria for parallel fed large scale active antenna arrays
Demir, S; Toker, Canan; Bizal, A (1997-09-12)
In this work noise analysis of parallel feed structures for active antenna arrays are presented. Signal and noise behaviour of the feed structures are signified by the newly introduced concepts of ''coherent'' and ''incoherent'' impedance match of power combining structures. It is also shown that a feed structure can be re-designed for low noise operation without affecting its radiation characteristics. Optimum design of parallel feed structures for low noise operation is explained. Also an optimum use of a...
