© 2022 authors. Published by the American Physical Society. The weak decays of doubly heavy ΞQQ baryon induced by flavor changing b→d and c→u flavor changing neutral current within the light-cone sum rules are studied. The sum rules are constructed and analyzed for the corresponding transition form factors using the parallel components of the light-cone distribution amplitudes for ΛQ baryon. Having the results for the form factors, the corresponding branching ratios for ΞQQ→ΛQl+l- decays are estimated. While the branching ratio due to b→d transition is around 10-9, in c→u transition case, it is found as around 10-13. Hence, Ξbb→Λbl+l- decay has the potential of being discovered at LHCb. However, Ξbb→Λbl+l- is difficult to be measured due to the extremely small values of obtained branching ratio. Our results on the branching ratio are also compared with the results of the light-front approach.

Determination of the spectroscopic parameters of beauty-partners of Tcc from QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa; Bilmiş, Selçuk (2022-04-01)
© 2022 authors. Published by the American Physical Society.Motivated by the recent discovery of a new tetraquark Tcc+ state with two charm quarks and two light quarks by LHCb Collaboration, we calculate the spectroscopic parameters; namely, the mass and residues of beauty partners of Tcc+ within QCD sum rules. The obtained results are compared with the predictions of different approaches in the literature.
Analysis and prediction of masonry wallette strength under combined compression-bending via stochastic computational modeling
Gonen, Semih; Pulatsu, Bora; Lourenço, Paulo B.; Lemos, José V.; Tuncay, Kağan; Erduran, Emrah (2023-03-01)
© 2022 The Author(s)The out-of-plane flexural bending capacity of masonry is a fundamental property for understanding the behavior of masonry structures. This study investigates the behavior of unreinforced masonry wallettes subjected to combined compression-flexural loading using the discrete element method (DEM), and provides a novel framework to estimate the masonry strength. A simplified micro-modeling strategy is utilized to analyze a masonry wallette, including the variation of the mechanical properti...
Analysis of the energy justice in natural gas distribution with Multiscale Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR)
Şenyel Kürkçüoğlu, Müzeyyen Anıl (2023-12-01)
© 2022 The Author(s)Energy justice is violated when particular customers and locations are excluded from a variety of urban energy service distribution. This study explores energy justice in terms of natural gas distribution by providing empirical evidence from 356 neighborhoods of Izmir Metropolitan Area (IMA). The aim is to reveal driving factors of natural gas investment and the spatial reflections of the relationships between investment, and socio-economic and physical characteristics. A global regressi...
Evaluation of Acoustic Gunshot Localization Methods on Helicopters with Environmental Sound Simulations

© 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.Although there are ground based localization solutions for Small Arms Fire (SAF) attacks, there are only a few implementations of onboard applications. A simple Acoustic Source Localization (ASL) application employs a microphone array for collecting audio signals, so as to locate sound sources using the measurements from the sound field. The aim of this study is to investigate the possibility of Acoustic Gunshot Localization on...
Final results on neutrino oscillation parameters from the OPERA experiment in the CNGS beam
Agafonova, N.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2019-09-06)
© 2019 authors. Published by the American Physical Society. The OPERA experiment has conclusively observed the appearance of tau neutrinos in the muon neutrino CNGS beam. Exploiting the OPERA detector capabilities, it was possible to isolate high purity samples of νe, νμ and ντ charged current weak neutrino interactions, as well as neutral current weak interactions. In this paper, the full dataset is used for the first time to test the three-flavor neutrino oscillation model and to derive constraints on the ...
