A new approach for reactive web usage data processing
Bayir, Murat Ali; Toroslu, İsmail Hakkı; Coşar, Ahmet (2006-01-01)
© 2006 IEEE.Web usage mining exploits data mining techniques to discover valuable information from navigation behavior of World Wide Web (WWW) users. The required information is captured by web servers and stored in web usage data logs. The first phase of web usage mining is the data processing phase. In the data processing phase, first, relevant information is filtered from the logs. After that, sessions are reconstructed by using heuristics that select and group requests belonging to the same user session...
A New approach for distributed amplifier design
Yılmaz, İsmail Gökhan; Koç, Seyit Sencer; Demir, Şimşek; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2012)
In this thesis work, a new distributed amplifier topology is discussed and applied to three different cases. The topology is based on dividing the frequency spectrum into channels and amplifying afterwards. The channelized and amplified signals are then combined at the output for broadband amplification. This topology is used in the design of a three channel 0.1-1 GHz amplifier with a gain of 14.5±0.6 dB. The design is fabricated, and then the measured and simulated results are compared. A second 0.1-1 GHz ...
A new systematic and flexible method for developing hierarchical decision-making models
BELDEK, ULAŞ; Leblebicioğlu, Mehmet Kemal (2015-01-01)
The common practice in multilevel decision-making (DM) systems is to achieve the final decision by going through a finite number of DM levels. In this study, a new multilevel DM model is proposed. This model is called the hierarchical DM (HDM) model and it is supposed to provide a flexible way of interaction and information flow between the consecutive levels that allows policy changes in DM procedures if necessary. In the model, in the early levels, there are primary agents that perform DM tasks. As the le...
A New service architecture for IPTV over internet
Özkardeş, Merve; Schmidt, Şenan Ece; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2013)
Multimedia applications over the Internet and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) gain a lot of attention. IPTV has a number of service requirements such as; high bandwidth, scalability, minimum delay, jitter and channel switch time. IP multicast, IMS (IP Multimedia System) Protocol and peer-to-peer approaches are proposed for implementing IPTV. However, IP multicast requires all the routers in the core network to possess multicast capability, IMS does not easily scale and P2P cannot e ciently utilize the n...
A new data mining based upscaling approach for regional wind power forecasting
Özkan, Mehmet Barış; Karagöz, Pınar; Department of Computer Engineering (2021-2-8)
Together with the increasing need for energy, the importance of renewable energy sources has been increasing day by day. Although wind is one of the most important alternative energy sources due to its high potential, it is not a stable source since it depends on the weather conditions. So, in order to include the power produced by the wind into electricity grid with planned manner, it must be predicted accurately beforehand. To produce a reliable wind power forecast, getting a Wind Power Plant’s (WPP) powe...
