A comparison of Turkish and Anglo-American normative data on the Wechsler memory scale
GILLEARD, E.; GILLEARD, C. (Wiley, 1989-1)
This study compared the performance of 200 Turkish adults, divided by educational status and age (20‐39; 40‐59), with published data based upon similar‐aged American and British normative samples. Results highlighted the major influence of educational background in determining performance on the WMS and the implications of this effect in interpreting normative performance.
A Comparison of Serve Speed and Motor Coordination between Elite and Club Level Tennis Players
Söğüt, Mustafa (Walter de Gruyter GmbH, 2017-01-01)
The purpose of this study was to compare the serve speed and motor coordination of elite and club level junior tennis players aged 11-14 years. Participants (n=35) were assigned to one of the two groups according to their experience, weekly training volume and competition level. Serve speed was assessed with a sports radar gun. Motor coordination was evaluated by means of the Korperkoordinationstest fur Kinder. The main results revealed that serve speed and motor coordination performance levels of the elite...
A comparison of predator teams with distinct genetic similarity levels in single prey hunting problem
Yalçın, Çağrı; Şehitoğlu, Onur Tolga; Department of Computer Engineering (2009)
In the domain of the complex control problems for agents, neuroevolution, i.e. artificial evolution of neural networks, methods have been continuously shown to offer high performance solutions which may be unpredictable by external controller design. Recent studies have proved that these methods can also be successfully applied for cooperative multi-agent systems to evolve the desired team behavior. For a given task which may benefit from both cooperation and behavioral specialization, the genetic diversity...
A comparison of the effects of step aerobics dancing on selected physiological parameters of college-aged females

A Comparison of Inventory Control Policies for a Joint Manufacturing / Remanufacturing Environment with Remanufacturing Yield Loss
Bayındır, Zeynep Pelin; Dekker, Rommert (null; 2004-08-24)
We consider a joint manufacturing / remanufacturing environment with remanufacturing yield loss. Demand and return follow independent stationary Poisson processes. Returns can be disposed off upon arrival to the system. Manufacturing and remanufacturing operations performed in the same facility at exponential rates. Yield information becomes available after remanufacturing. Demands that are not directly satisfied are lost. We investigate what inventories to consider when making production and disposal decisio...
