This paper presents the comparison of three structural reanalysis methods all of which use FRF data of the original structure and the modification matrices for predicting the FRFs of a modified structure. One of these methods has recently been developed by the authors in a previous study. As all the methods compared give mathematically exact results, the comparison is based on the computational efficiency of the methods, especially for systems with large degrees of freedom. Plate structures with several different modifications are used in the case studies. A scaled aircraft structure similar to GARTEUR SM-AG19 is also used in order to demonstrate the performance of the methods by comparing the computational results with experimental ones for the test structure. Furthermore, the methods are also applied on a real aircraft.
