This study is focused on the use of visible light in photoinitiated cationic polymerization. Photoinitiated polymerization of oxiranes, vinyl ethers, and other vinyl monomers was achieved. Peroxidase and lipoxygenase inactivation and ascorbic acid retention were studied during water and microwave blanching of peas, green beans and carrots. A first order kinetic model was assumed to analyse thermal inactivation of enzyme systems which consist of heat labile and heat resistant fractions. Lipoxygenases and peroxidases were used as blanching indicator enzymes during the experiments. The role of $f_{0}(980)$ and $a_{0}(980)$ scalar meson intermediate states in the mechanism of radiative $\phi (1020)$ meson decay into two charged $K (494)$ mesons and a photon $\phi\rightarrow K^{+} + K^{-} + \gamma$ is investigated. In this study, we encapsulated both animal-derived (whey) and plant-derived (soy and pea) proteins within polysaccharide/protein beads and measured the digestion of these beads under simulated gastrointestinal tract (GIT) conditions. Organic acid compositions of 11 different white grape cultivars and grape juices were determined by high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). The ranges of acid concentrations found in grapes were as follows: citric, 30-164 mg/l; tartaric, 4.98-7.48 g/l and malic, 1.43-3.40 g/l.
