The rapid growth of Internet of Things, along with advancements in mobile networks, big data and cloud computing has increased the need for faster and more reliable networks. Software-Defined Networks have become crucial to meeting the performance needs of applications such as smart homes, autonomous vehicles and remote health-care services. Simultaneously, microservice architectures in cloud computing have become more valuable due to the flexibility and efficiency of containers. As more container-based applications are used, the risk of cyberattacks targeting these networks has also risen. This thesis presents an intrusion prevention model designed for software-defined container networks. The model includes a system for collecting traffic data from containers and a health monitoring module aimed at stopping detected security threats. By continuously monitoring the network and responding to potential attacks, this approach offers an efficient and scalable solution to protect container-based cloud environments from increasing cybersecurity risks.
