Advanced data analytics (ADA), as an emerging field, empowers companies in gaining competitive advantages by offering insights derived from data. To derive business value from ADA, organizations must develop various capabilities across different areas, including infrastructure (technology), data management, people, and culture. Previous literature has consistently emphasized technical aspects over other dimensions, providing comparatively limited information about capabilities related to people and culture. This thesis fills this gap by providing processes and practices about people and culture capabilities through a systematic literature review (SLR) and semi-structured interviews. Initially, through an SLR, related capabilities were categorized into two levels and defined with a set of components. These structured lists were further extended by defining related processes and practices, tailored from People CMM, to support organizations in enhancing the implementation and management of ADA projects. This research contributes to both academic literature and industry by providing practices that address the people and cultural dimensions essential for the successful implementation of data analytics projects.
