CO Oxidation over Mono and Bi-Metallic Sequentially Impregnated Pd-Pt Catalysts
Kaya, Sarp; Üner, Deniz (2008-01-01)
The CO oxidation capability of sequentially impregnated Pd-Pt/gamma-Al(2)O(3) bimetallic catalysts was tested. The CO oxidation light-off curves were hierarchically spaced between monometallic Pd and monometallic Pt, which showed the highest and lowest activity, respectively, indicating that sequential impregnation did not result in the formation of bimetallic particles, but that the catalysts remained as monometallic entities over the support surface. An investigation of the effect of CO partial pressure o...

CO oxidation over palladium- and sodium-promoted tin dioxide: catalyst characterization and temperature-programmed studies
MİRKELAMOĞLU, BURCU; Karakaş, Gürkan (Elsevier BV, 2005-03-18)
One weight percentage PdO/SnO2 and 0.1 wt.% Na-1 wt.% PdO/SnO2 catalysts have been synthesized through a sol-gel route and these catalysts have been characterized by XRD, BET, SEM and temperature-programmed adsorption and desorption techniques with regard to their activity for the CO oxidation reaction. CO adsorption and CO-O-2 co-adsorption followed by O-2 TPD have been carried out to observe the role of sodium promotion on the catalytic activity. The catalytic activity of PdO/SnO2 catalysts is suppressed ...

CO2 addition and pressure effects on laminar and turbulent lean premixed CH4 air flames
Cohé, Cecile; Chauveau, Christian; Goekalp, Iskender; Kurtuluş, Dilek Funda (Elsevier BV, 2009-01-01)
An experimental study on CH4-CO2-air flames at various pressures is conducted by using both laminar and turbulent Bunsen flame configurations. The aim of this research is to contribute to the characterization of fuel lean methane/carbon dioxide/air premixed laminar and turbulent flames at different pressures, by studying laminar and turbulent flame propagation velocities, the flame surface density and the instantaneous flame front wrinkling parameters. PREMIX computations and experimental results indicate a...
