Synthesis and characterization of conducting copolymers were achieved by using thiophene end-funtionalized TEMPO initiated polystyrene (PS), decanoic acid dithiophen-3yl-me1hyl ester (DTME) and octanoic acid thiophen-3yl-methyl ester (OTME). It is known that pyrrole and its derivatives are a part of many important natural compounds. Polymeric semiconductors also were obtained on the basis of 2,5-dithienyl-pyrrole electropolymerization and its derivatives. The work deals with the synthesis of 2,3-dithiophenyl-1H-pyrroles by the reaction of 2,2'-thionine with various enamines.

A new hybrid compound, namely 1-(pyren-3-yl)-2,5-di(thiophen-2-yl)-1H-pyrrole (SNS-P), was polymerized via both chemical and electrochemical methods. Chemically obtained soluble polydithienylpyrrole (c-PSNS-P) bearing pyrene appendages is a homogeneous and uniform polymer with a number averaged molecular weight of 15,200 g/mol. Synthesis and characterization of conducting copolymers of menthyl ester of 3-thiophene acetic acid with pyrrole

A new thiophene derivative containing menthyl group (MM) was synthesized and polymerized via chemical and electrochemical (constant current) methods. Polymers obtained and MM itself were used to synthesize copolymers with pyrrole under conditions of constant potential electrolyses. Cyclic voltammetry (CV), thermal analysis (DSC, TGA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses were performed for the characterization of samples.

4,4' Azobis 4-cyano3-thiophenemethyl pentanate (ACTMP) was synthesized from 3-Thiophenemethanol and 4,4'-Azobis (4-cyanopentanoyl chloride). ACTMP was further used in the synthesis of polystyrene with thiophene terminal groups (TPSt) at both ends. Conducting block copolymers of TPSt and pyrrole (TPSt/PPy) were electrochemically prepared using several supporting electrolytes. Characterization of these block copolymers were performed.
