4,4' Azobis 4-cyano3-thiophenemethyl pentanate (ACTMP) was synthesized from 3-Thiophenemethanol and 4,4'-Azobis (4-cyanopentanoyl chloride). ACTMP was further used in the synthesis of polystyrene with thiophene terminal groups (TPSt) at both ends. Conducting block copolymers of TPSt and pyrrole (TPSt/PPy) were electrochemically prepared using several supporting electrolytes. Characterization of these block copolymers were performed.
