We present a search for scalar and tensor unparticles in the diphoton final state produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 10 TeV, with the CMS detector at LHC. The analysis focuses on the data sample corresponding to the integrated luminosity of 100 pb−1, expected to be collected in the first LHC run. The exclusion limits on unparticle parameters, scaling dimension dU and coupling constant lambda, and the discovery potential for unparticles are presented. This is the first simulation study of the sensitivity to unparticles decaying into the diphoton final state at a hadron collider.

Search for neutral MSSM Higgs bosons decaying to a pair of tau leptons in pp collisions
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2014-10-01)
A search for neutral Higgs bosons in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) decaying to tau-lepton pairs in pp collisions is performed, using events recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 24.6 fb−1, with 4.9 fb−1 at 7 TeV and 19.7 fb−1 at 8 TeV. To enhance the sensitivity to neutral MSSM Higgs bosons, the search includes the case where the Higgs boson is produced in association with a b-quark jet. No excess is observed in ...
Search for supersymmetry in hadronic final states using M-T2 in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2012-10-01)
A search for supersymmetry or other new physics resulting in similar final states is presented using a data sample of 4.73 fb(-1) of pp collisions collected at root s = 7 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. Fully hadronic final states are selected based on the variable M-T2, an extension of the transverse mass in events with two invisible particles. Two complementary studies are performed. The first targets the region of parameter space with medium to high squark and gluino masses, in which the signal can...
Search for excited leptons in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2013-03-01)
Results are presented of a search for compositeness in electrons and muons using a data sample of pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy root s = 7 TeV collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb(-1). Excited leptons (l*) are assumed to be produced via contact interactions in conjunction with a standard model lepton and to decay via l* -> l gamma, yielding a final state with two energetic leptons and a photon. The number of events observed in data is ...
Search for supersymmetry with a compressed mass spectrum in the vector boson fusion topology with 1-lepton and 0-lepton final states in proton-proton collisions at p root s=13 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2019-08-01)
A search for supersymmetric particles produced in the vector boson fusion topology in proton-proton collisions is presented. The search targets final states with one or zero leptons, large missing transverse momentum, and two jets with a large separation in rapidity. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions at root s = 13TeV collected in 2016 with the CMS detector at the LHC. The observed dijet invariant mass and lepton-neutrino transverse mass spect...
Search for third-generation scalar leptoquarks in the t tau channel in proton-proton collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2015-07-01)
A search for pair production of third-generation scalar leptoquarks decaying to top quark and tau lepton pairs is presented using proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of root s=8TeV collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1). The search is performed using events that contain an electron or a muon, a hadronically decaying tau lepton, and two or more jets. The observations are found to be consistent with the standard model predict...
