Recently [E. Bergshoeff et al., Classical Quantum Gravity 31, 145008 (2014)], an extension of the topologically massive gravity (TMG) in 2 + 1 dimensions, dubbed as minimal massive gravity (MMG), which is free of the bulk-boundary unitarity clash that inflicts the former theory and all the other known three-dimensional theories, was found. Field equations of MMG differ from those of TMG at quadratic terms in the curvature that do not come from the variation of an action depending on the metric alone. Here we show that MMG is a unique theory and there does not exist a deformation of TMG or MMG at the cubic and quartic order (and beyond) in the curvature that is consistent at the level of the field equations. The only extension of TMG with the desired bulk and boundary properties having a single massive degree of freedom is MMG.

ANISOTROPIC CHANGES INDUCED BY ION IRRADIATION ON BI-BASED HIGH T(C) SUPERCONDUCTORS
HAMDAN, NM; ZIQ, KA; HALLAK, AB; OZKAN, H (1993-09-01)
(Bi,Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 high T(c) superconducting samples were subject to irradiation by 7 MeV Si ions. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the intensity of the (00l) peaks decrease rapidly with ion irradiation, while that of the mixed index peaks (hkl) changes very little. The a-parameter decreases first then increases with ion fluence while the c-parameter increase continuously with ion irradiation.
Explicit Characterizations for Plateaued-ness of p-ary (Vectorial) Functions
CARLET, CLAUDE; MESNAGER, SİHEM; Özbudak, Ferruh; SINAK, AHMET (2017-04-12)
Plateaued (vectorial) functions have an important role in the sequence and cryptography frameworks. Given their importance, they have not been studied in detail in general framework. Several researchers found recently results on their characterizations and introduced new tools to understand their structure and to design such functions. In this work, we mainly extend some of the observations made in characteristic 2 and given in (Carlet, IEEE Trans. Inf. Theor. 61(11), 6272- 6289, 2015) to arbitrary characte...
ELECTROPHORETIC, SPECTRAL, CATALYTIC AND IMMUNOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF HIGHLY PURIFIED CYTOCHROME-P-450 FROM SHEEP LUNG
Adalı, Orhan (Elsevier BV, 1990-01-01)
1. 1. Cytochrome P-450LgM2 was purified from sheep lung microsomes in the presence of detergents, Emulgen 913 and cholate. 2. 2. The purification procedure involved the chromatography of the detergent solubilized microsomes on DEAE-cellulose and hydroxylapatite. 3. 3. Cytochrome P-450LgM2 was further purified on second DEAE-cellulose and hydroxylapatite columns. 4. 4. The specific content of the highly purified P-450LgM2 was 16–18 nmol P-450/mg protein and purified 164-fold. 5. 5. The yield was 16% of t...

The Why R? Turkey 2021 as a three-day online conference was organized to bring together researchers and professionals from Turkey on April 16-17-18, 2021. We hereby aimed to promote the R community in Turkey by bringing R users with different backgrounds such as genetics, sociology, finance, economy, bio-statistics. There were 8 thematic sessions and 18 invited speakers. In this article, it is aimed to describe the preparation phase, technical details, and the impact of the conference on audience.
Inclusive and differential measurements of the t(t)over-bar charge asymmetry in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2016-06-01)
The t (t) over bar charge asymmetry is measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. The data, collected with the CMS experiment at the LHC, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1). Selected events contain an electron or a muon and four or more jets, where at least one jet is identified as originating from b-quark hadronization. The inclusive charge asymmetry is found to be 0.0010 +/- 0.0068 (stat)+/- 0.0037 (syst). In addition, differential charge asymmetries as a ...
