Angular analysis of the decay B+ -> K+mu(+)mu(-) in proton-proton collisions at root s=8 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2018-12-01)
The angular distribution of the flavor-changing neutral current decay B+ -> K+mu(+)mu(-) is studied in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. The analysis is based on data collected with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.5 fb(-1). The forward-backward asymmetry A(FB) of the dimuon system and the contribution F-H from the pseudoscalar, scalar, and tensor amplitudes to the decay width are measured as a function of the dimuon mass squared. The m...
Angular coefficients of Z bosons produced in pp collisions at root S=8 TeV and decaying to mu(+)mu(-) as a function of transverse momentum and rapidity
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2015-11-01)
Measurements of the five most significant angular coefficients, A(0) through A(4), for Z bosons produced in pp collisions at root S = 8 TeV and decaying to mu(+)mu(-) are presented as a function of the transverse momentum and rapidity of the Z boson. The integrated luminosity of the dataset collected with the CMS detector at the LHC corresponds to 19.7 fb(-1). These measurements provide comprehensive information about the Z boson production mechanisms, and are compared to the QCD predictions at leading orde...
Angular analysis and branching fraction measurement of the decay B-0 -> K*(0)mu(+)mu(-)
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (2013-11-01)
The angular distributions and the differential branching fraction of the decay B-0 -> K*(892)(0)mu(+)mu(-) are studied using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 fb(-1) collected with the CMS detector at the LHC in pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV. From more than 400 signal decays, the forward-backward asymmetry of the muons, the K*(892)(0) longitudinal polarization fraction, and the differential branching fraction are determined as a function of the square of the dimuon invariant m...
Angular Dependence of Solar Cell Parameters in Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells Textured with Periodic Array of Microholes
Altinoluk, Serra; Kumar, Naveen; Çiftpınar, Emine Hande; Demircioglu, O.; Turan, Raşit; Vasileska, Dragica (2020-09-01)
Surface texturing is an indispensable way of increasing absorption in solar cells. In order to properly characterize the effect of texturing, the angular dependence of the incidence light should be addressed. This is particularly important when the actual application where the incidence angle of the sunlight varies during the day is considered. This study presents the angular dependence of solar cell parameters in the case of periodically textured crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cells with microholes. A st...
Radial excitations of the decuplet baryons
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Sundu Pamuk, Hayriye (2017-04-10)
The ground and first excited states of the decuplet baryons are studied using the two-point QCD sum rule approach. The mass and residue of these states are computed and compared with the existing experimental data and other theoretical predictions. The results for the masses of the ground state particles as well as the excited Delta and Sigma* states are in good consistency with experimental data. Our results on the excited Xi* and Omega(-) states reveal that the experimentally poorly known Xi(1950) and Ome...
