15 W Power Amplifier Modules Using Coaxial Waveguide Combining by Planar Probes
Suna, Gonca; Eker, Taylan; Akkul, Mustafa; Incebacak, Mustafa; Demir, Şimşek; Yliditim, Nevzat (2014-07-11)
Power combining in coaxial waveguide by printed planar probes is investigated. Combiners are designed and implemented at 8-12 GHz and 15-18 GHz. Average introduced insertion loss is measured as 0.5 dB per branch. Power amplifier modules are designed and implemented for both bands. similar to 20 W output power at 8-12 GHz and similar to 12 W output at 15-18 GHz are achieved by efficient power combining.
6 HZ QUASI-PERIODIC OSCILLATIONS FROM LOW-MASS X-RAY BINARIES - THE SOUND OF AN ACCRETION DISK
ALPAR, MA; HASINGER, G; SHAHAM, J; YANCOPOULOS, S (1992-04-01)
Quasiperiodic oscillations (QPOs) at frequencies of 5-8 Hz are a common feature of low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs) during their normal branch (NB) spectral states. We propose that this frequency band is essentially a band of rotation frequencies in a thick accretion disk. The high luminosities in the NB state give rise to the thick disk and slow down the dynamical timescales. Density and optical-thickness perturbations in a subsonic region of the disk have the frequency spectrum of sound in a rotating mediu...

This paper presents the design of a monolithic phased array antenna with DMTL phase shifters on quartz substrate operating at 35 GHz. The design integrates DMTL phase shifters, rectangular slot antennas with the feed network comprising CPW lines, CPW T-junction and corners. On the four branches of the antenna, there are 5-bit phase shifters using 31 MEMS bridges, covering 360° with a resolution of 11.25°.
13.56 MHz Triple Mode Rectifier Circuit with Extended Coupling Range for Wirelessly Powered Implantable Medical Devices.
Engur, Yasemin; Yigit, Halil Andac; Külah, Haluk (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2020-12-25)
In this work, a wide input/output range triple mode rectifier circuit operating at 13.56 MHz is implemented to power up medical implants. The proposed novel multi-mode rectifier circuit charges the load for an extended coupling range and eliminates the requirement of alignment magnets. The charging process is achieved in three different modes based on the voltage level of the received signal affected by the distance and the alignment of the inductively coupled coils. Current mode (CM) circuit is activated f...
