We present a general analysis of the lepton polarizations in the rare B-s --> gammal(+)l(-) decays by using the most general model-independent form of the effective Hamiltonian. The sensitivity of the longitudinal, transverse and normal polarizations of final state leptons, as well as lepton-antilepton combined asymmetries, on the new Wilson coefficients are investigated. It has been shown that all these physical observables are very sensitive to the existence of new physics beyond the standard model and their experimental measurements can give valuable information about it.

An analysis of f(0)-sigma mixing in light cone QCD sum rules
Gokalp, A; Sarac, Y; Yılmaz, Osman (Elsevier BV, 2005-03-10)
We investigate f(0)-sigma mixing in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules and by employing the experimental results about the decay widths and the masses of these scalar mesons we estimate the scalar mixing angle by using sigma meson data and f(0) meson data. The two values we thus obtain of the scalar mixing angle are not entirely consistent with each other, possibly indicating that the structure of these mesons cannot be simple quark-antiquark states.
Investigations of spinodal dynamics in asymmetric nuclear matter within a stochastic relativistic model
Yılmaz, Osman; ACAR, FERİDE PINAR; Saatci, S.; GÖKALP, AHMET (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2013-03-01)
Early development of spinodal instabilities and density correlation functions in asymmetric nuclear matter are investigated in the stochastic extension of the Walecka-type relativistic mean field including coupling with rho meson. Calculations are performed under typical conditions encountered in heavy-ion collisions and in the crusts of neutron stars. In general, growth of instabilities occur relatively slower for increasing charge asymmetry of matter. At higher densities around rho = 0.4 rho(0) fluctuatio...
The semileptonic B to K-1(1270,1400) decays in QCD sum rules
Dag, H.; Özpineci, Altuğ; Zeyrek, Mehmet Tevfik (IOP Publishing, 2011-01-01)
We analyze the semileptonic rare decays of the B meson to K-1(1270) and K-1(1400) axial vector mesons. The B -> K-1(1270, 1400)l(+)l(-) decays are significant flavor-changing neutral current decays of the B meson. These decays are sensitive to the new physics beyond the standard model (SM), since these processes are forbidden at tree level at SM. These decays occurring at the quark level via b -> sl(+)l(-) transition also provide new opportunities for calculating the CKM matrix elements V-bt and V-ts. In th...
A search for prompt lepton-jets in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV with the ATLAS detector
Aad, G.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2013-02-26)
We present a search for a light (mass < 2 GeV) boson predicted by Hidden Valley supersymmetric models that decays into a final state consisting of collimated muons or electrons, denoted "lepton-jets". The analysis uses 5 fb(-1) of root s = 7 TeV proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider to search for the following signatures: single lepton-jets with at least four muons; pairs of lepton-jets, each with two or more muons; and pairs of lepton-jets with two or more...
Measurements of the Higgs boson production and decay rates and constraints on its couplings from a combined ATLAS and CMS analysis of the LHC pp collision data at root s=7 and 8 TeV
Aad, G.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2016-08-01)
Combined ATLAS and CMS measurements of the Higgs boson production and decay rates, as well as constraints on its couplings to vector bosons and fermions, are presented. The combination is based on the analysis of five production processes, namely gluon fusion, vector boson fusion, and associated production with a W or a Z boson or a pair of top quarks, and of the six decay modes H -> ZZ; WW, gamma gamma; tau tau; bb, and mu mu. All results are reported assuming a value of 125: 09 GeV for the Higgs boson mas...
