We have studied the CP asymmetry in B --> K-phi, K*-phi transitions in the framework of the standard model (SM), its generalization to the four-generation case and in its supersymmetric (SUSY) extension. It is shown that in the SM and its SUSY extension with three generations, the asymmetry is less than one percent, but gets larger in the four-generation case, and its SUSY extension. It is shown that the asymmetry in the four-generation case is very sensitive to the gluon momentum. Further, we have shown that SUSY contributions change the sign and magnitude of the asymmetry in contrast to the four-generation case, for the same range of parameters in the SUSY extended case, as in the SM.

Double-lepton polarization asymmetries and branching ratio in B -> K-0(*)(1430)l(+)l(-) transition from universal extra dimension model
ŞİRVANLI, BERİN BELMA; AZİZİ, KAZEM; İpekoğlu, Yusuf (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2011-01-01)
We investigate the B -> K-0(*)(1430)l(+)l(-) transition in the Applequist-Cheng-Dobrescu model in the presence of a universal extra dimension. In particular, we calculate double lepton polarization asymmetries and branching ratio related to this channel and compare the obtained results with the predictions of the standard model. Our analysis of the considered observables in terms of radius R of the compactified extra-dimension as the new parameter of the model show a considerable discrepancy between the pre...
CP violation in the radiative dileptonic B-meson decays
Erkol, G; Turan, Gürsevil (IOP Publishing, 2002-12-01)
We investigate the CP violating asymmetry, the forward-backward asymmetry and the CP violating asymmetry in the forward-backward asymmetry for the radiative dileptonic B-meson decays B-d --> gammal(+)l(-) for the f = e, mu, tau channels. It is observed that these asymmetries are quite sizable and B-d --> gamma l(+)l(-) decays seem promising for investigating CP violation.
Quasi-fission and fusion-fission reactions in Ca-48+Pb-208 collisions at E-c.m.=190 MeV
Yilmaz, O.; Turan, Gürsevil; Yilmaz, B. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2020-02-05)
The yields of quasifission fragments in the Ca-48+Pb-208 are investigated in the framework of the stochastic mean field (SMF) approach based on the Skyrme-TDHF calculations. A method which combines the microscopic time-dependent Hartree-Fock (TDHF) theory with a statistical de-excitation model, GEMINI++, is used for calculating the yields of fusion-fission fragments after de-excitation processes of primary reaction products which is assumed to be dominated by neutron emission in the present system. Scalar mesons in radiative phi ->(KK-0)-K-0 gamma decay
Gokalp, A.; Korkmaz, C. S.; Yılmaz, Osman (American Physical Society (APS), 2007-01-01)
We study the radiative phi -> K-0(K) over bar (0)gamma decay within a phenomenological framework by considering the contributions of the f(0)(980) and a(0)(980) scalar resonances. We calculate the branching ratio B(phi -> K-0(K) over bar (0)gamma) by employing the coupling constants g(f0)K(+)K(-) and g(a0)K(+)K(-) as determined by different experimental groups.
Dualisation of the Salam-Sugin D-8 supergravity
Dereli, T; Yilmaz, NT (Elsevier BV, 2004-07-19)
The first-order formulation of the Salam-Sezgin D = 8 supergravity coupled to N vector multiplets is discussed. The non-linear realization of the bosonic sector of the D = 8 matter coupled Salam-Sezgin supergravity is introduced by the dualisation of the fields and by constructing the Lie superalgebra of the symmetry group of the doubled field strength.
