A systematic analysis for the exclusive rare B --> pi (+)pi (-)l(+)l(-) decay beyond the standard model is presented. The dependence of the various physically measurable asymmetries and CP violating asymmetry on the new Wilson coefficients is studied in detail. It is observed that different measurable quantiles are very sensitive to the different new Wilson coefficients, i.e., to the existence of new physics beyond the standard model.

CP violation in polarized B -> pi l(+)l(-) and B -> pl(+)l(-) decays
Erkol, G; Wagenaar, JW; Turan, Gürsevil (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2005-05-01)
We study the decay rate and the CP violating asymmetry of the exclusive B -> pi l(+)l(-) and B -> rho l(+)l(-) decays in the case where one of the final leptons is polarized. We calculate the contributions coming from the individual polarization states in order to identify a so-called wrong sign decay, which is a decay with a given polarization, whose width and CP asymmetry are smaller as compared to the unpolarized one. The results are presented for electrons and tau leptons. We observe that in particular ...
Systematic analysis of the exclusive B -> K*l(+)l(-) decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Kim, YG (American Physical Society (APS), 2000-07-01)
A model-independent analysis for the exclusive, rare B-->K*l(+)l(-) decay is presented. Systematically studied are the experimentally measured quantities, such as the branching ratio, forward-backward asymmetry, longitudinal polarization of the final leptons, and the ratio Gamma(L)/Gamma(T) of the decay widths when the K* meson is longitudinally and transversally polarized. The dependence of the asymmetry parameter alpha = 2 Gamma(L)/Gamma(T)- l on the new Wilson coefficients is also studied in detail. It i...
Electroweak theory and non-commutative geometry
Catal-Ozer, A; Dereli, T (IOP Publishing, 2001-08-21)
The non-commutative generalization of the standard electroweak model due to Balakrishna, Gursey and Wali is formulated in terms of the derivations Der(2)(M-3) of a three-dimensional representation of the su(2) Lie algebra of weak isospin. A light Higgs boson of mass about 130 GeV, together with four very heavy scalar bosons are predicted.
Electric dipole moments of charged leptons and lepton flavor violating interactions in the general two Higgs doublet model
Iltan, EO (American Physical Society (APS), 2001-07-01)
We calculate the electric dipole moment of the electron using the experimental result of the muon electric dipole moment and upper limit of the BR(mu-->e gamma) in the framework of the general two Higgs doubler model. Our prediction is 10(-32) e cm, which lies in the experimental current limits. Further, we obtain constraints for the Yukawa couplings )over bar>(D)(N,taue) and )over bar>(D)(N,tau mu). Finally, we present an expression which connects the BR(tau-->mu gamma) and the electric dipole moment of th...
Radiative decays of the heavy tensor mesons in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (American Physical Society (APS), 2019-01-11)
The transition form factors of the radiative decays of the heavy tensor mesons to heavy pseudoscalar and heavy vector mesons are calculated in the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rules method at the point Q(2) = 0. Using the obtained values of the transition form factors at the point Q(2) = 0, the corresponding decay widths are estimated. The results show that the radiative decays of the heavy-light tensor mesons could potentially be measured in the future planned experiments at LHCb.
