Value sets of bivariate folding polynomials over finite fields
Küçüksakallı, Ömer (2018-11-01)
We find the cardinality of the value sets of polynomial maps associated with simple complex Lie algebras B-2 and G(2) over finite fields. We achieve this by using a characterization of their fixed points in terms of sums of roots of unity.
Statistical distributions of sea-states in the eastern black sea coast of Turkey
Altınörs, Adnan Altay; Özhan, Erdal; Department of Civil Engineering (1997)
Statistical modeling of hourly electricity load series in Turkey
Özpala, Pınar; Gaygısız Lajunen, Esma; Department of Economics (2013)
This study investigates Heterogeneous Double Seasonal ARIMA model, Heterogeneous Periodic AR model and a nonlinear model of Multiple Regime Logistic STAR model by application of hourly electricity load data between years 2006-2007 in Turkey. Forecast results suggest that Heterogeneous Double Seasonal ARIMA model is the best among three methods forecasting up to one day.
Measyrement of mean wind speed by using laser scintillations and one-bit correlation technique.

Exponential type complex and non-Hermitian potentials within quantum Hamilton-Jacobi formalism
Yesiltas, Oezlem; Sever, Ramazan (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2008-03-01)
PT-/non-PT-symmetric and non-Hermitian deformed Morse and Poschl-Teller potentials are studied first time by quantum Hamilton-Jacobi approach. Energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions are obtained by solving quantum Hamilton-Jacobi equation.
