We analyze the polarization properties of photons which are produced in the unpolarized b-quark decay, b --> syg. Using the structure function formalism we carry out a general analysis of the polarization characteristics of y in terms of the standard Stokes parameters. The expressions for five independent structure functions are constructed in terms of the weak magnetic transition form factors of the vertices b -->, sy and b --> sg. Numerical calculations of the Stokes parameters and various differential distributions for b --> syg are performed for the two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM). We studied the dependences of all these characteristics to the model parameters. These results were compared with the Standard Model predictions for different top quark masses. Strong sensitivity of the Stokes parameters, which defines the linear photon polarization, to the model is demonstrated.

Radiative B-* meson decays in QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Pak, NK (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1997-01-01)
The decay constant g(B)* of the B* mesons and the transition amplitudes of the radiative decays B-a* --> B-a gamma are calculated in the frame-work of QCD sum rules. It is shown that the decay rates B* --> B gamma are one order smaller than the corresponding D* meson decays.
Polarized forward-backward asymmetries of leptons in B-s -> l(+)l(-)gamma decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2005-04-01)
Polarized forward-backward asymmetries in the B-s -> l(+)l(-)gamma decay are calculated using the most general, model independent form of the effective Hamiltonian, including all possible forms of interactions. The dependencies of the asymmetries on new Wilson coefficients are investigated. The detectability of the asymmetries at LHC is discussed.
Radiative decays of the p-wave charmed heavy baryons
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2019-05-23)
The radiative decays of the p-wave charmed heavy baryons to the ground state baryon states are studied in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules method. Firstly, the transition form factors that describe these transitions are estimated and then, using these form factors, the corresponding decay widths are calculated. A comparison of our results for the decay widths with those predicted by the other approaches existing in the literature is performed.
Energy distribution in Reissner-Nordstrom anti-de Sitter black holes in the Moller prescription
Salti, M.; Aydogdu, O. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2006-07-01)
The energy (due to matter plus fields including gravity) distribution of the Reissner-Nordstrom anti-de Sitter (RN AdS) black holes is studied by using the Moller energy-momentum definition in general relativity. This result is compared with the energy expression obtained by using the Einstein and Tolman complexes. The total energy depends on the black hole mass M and charge Q and the cosmological constant A. The energy distribution of the RN AdS is also calculated by using the M phi ller prescription in te...
Electric dipole moments of charged leptons in the split fermion scenario in the two Higgs doublet model
Iltan, EO (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2005-11-01)
We predict the charged lepton electric dipole moments in the split fermion scenario in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model. We observe that the numerical value of the muon (tau) electric dipole moment is of the order of the magnitude of 10(-22) e cm (10(-20) e cm) and there is an enhancement in the case of two extra dimensions, especially for the tau lepton electric dipole moment.
