Polarized forward-backward asymmetries in the B-s -> l(+)l(-)gamma decay are calculated using the most general, model independent form of the effective Hamiltonian, including all possible forms of interactions. The dependencies of the asymmetries on new Wilson coefficients are investigated. The detectability of the asymmetries at LHC is discussed.

PHOTON POLARIZATION EFFECTS IN B-]S-GAMMA-G DECAY
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; REKALO, MP (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1995-05-01)
We analyze the polarization properties of photons which are produced in the unpolarized b-quark decay, b --> syg. Using the structure function formalism we carry out a general analysis of the polarization characteristics of y in terms of the standard Stokes parameters. The expressions for five independent structure functions are constructed in terms of the weak magnetic transition form factors of the vertices b -->, sy and b --> sg. Numerical calculations of the Stokes parameters and various differential di...
New physics effects in the rare B-s -> gamma l(+)l(-) decays with a polarized photon
Yilmaz, UO; Sirvanli, BB; Turan, Gürsevil (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2003-09-01)
Using the most general model independent form of the effective Hamiltonian, the rare B-s --> gammal(+)l(-) decays are studied by taking into account the polarization of the photon. The total and the differential branching ratios for these decays, when the photon is in the positive or the negative helicity state, are presented. The dependence of these observables on the new Wilson coefficients is studied. Also is investigated the sensitivity of the 'photon polarization asymmetry' in B-s-->gammal(+)l(-) decay...
General analysis of CP-violation in polarized b -> dl(+)l(-) decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2003-12-01)
The CP-violating asymmetries in the b-->dl(+)l(-) decay, when one of the leptons is polarized, is investigated using the most general form of the effective Hamiltonian. The sensitivity of the CP-violating asymmetries to the new Wilson coefficients is studied.
Radiative B-* meson decays in QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Pak, NK (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1997-01-01)
The decay constant g(B)* of the B* mesons and the transition amplitudes of the radiative decays B-a* --> B-a gamma are calculated in the frame-work of QCD sum rules. It is shown that the decay rates B* --> B gamma are one order smaller than the corresponding D* meson decays.
Double-lepton polarization asymmetries in the B -> Kl(+)l(-) decay beyond the standard model
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2004-06-01)
General expressions for the double-lepton polarizations in the B --> Kl(+)l(-)decay are obtained, using a model independent effective Hamiltonian, including all possible interactions. Correlations between the averaged double-lepton polarization asymmetries and the branching ratio, as well as the averaged single-lepton polarization asymmetry are studied. It is observed that a study of the double-lepton polarization asymmetries can serve as a good test for establishing new physics beyond the standard model.
