Analysis of Radial Excitations of Octet Baryons in QCD Sum Rules

Download
2017-01-01
Using the QCD sum rules method, we estimate the mass and residues of the first radial excitations of octet baryons. The contributions coming from the ground state baryons are eliminated by constructing the linear combinations of the sum rules corresponding to different Lorentz structures. Our predictions of the masses of the first radial excitations of octet baryons are in good agreement with the data.

Measurement of the mass of the top quark in decays with a J/psi meson in pp collisions 8 Tev
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2016-12-01)
A first measurement of the top quark mass in the decay channel t -> (W -> l nu)(b -> J/psi + X -> mu(+) + mu(-) + X) is presented. The analysis uses events selected from the proton-proton collisions recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 8TeV. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1), with 666 t (t) over bar and single top quark candidate events containing a reconstructed J/psi candidate decaying into an oppositely-charged muon pair. The mass of the (J/ps...
Masses and residues of the triply heavy spin-1/2 baryons
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2013-04-01)
We calculate the masses and residues of the triply heavy spin-1/2 baryons using the most general form of their interpolating currents within the QCD sum rules method. We compare the obtained results with the existing theoretical predictions in the literature.
Determination of the strong coupling constant alpha(S)(m(Z)) from measurements of inclusive W-+/- and Z boson production cross sections in proton-proton collisions at root s=7 and 8 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2020-06-01)
Twelve measurements of inclusive cross sections of W-+/- and Z boson production, performed in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, are compared with perturbative quantum chromodynamics calculations at next-to-next- to-leading order (NNLO) accuracy obtained with the CT14, HERAPDF2.0, MMHT14, and NNPDF3.0 parton distribution functions (PDFs). Data and theory agree well for all PDF sets, taking into account the experimental and theoretical uncertainties. A novel procedure is empl...
Measurement of the W boson helicity fractions in the decays of top quark pairs to lepton plus jets final states produced in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2016-11-01)
The W boson helicity fractions from top quark decays in t (t) over bar events are measured using data from proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. The data were collected in 2012 with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.8 fb(-1). Events are reconstructed with either one muon or one electron, along with four jets in the final state, with two of the jets being identified as originating from b quarks. The measured helicity fractions from both chann...
Measurement of the ratio of the production cross sections times branching fractions of B-c(+/-) -> J/psi pi(+/-) and B-+/- -> J/psi K-+/- and B(B-c(+/-) -> J/psi pi(+/-)pi(+/-)pi(-/+))/B(B-c(+/-) -> J/psi pi(+/-)) in pp collisions at root s=7 Tev
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2015-01-01)
The ratio of the production cross sections times branching fractions (sigma(B-c(+/-))B(B-c(+/-) -> J/psi pi(+/-)))/(sigma(B-+/-)B(B-+/- -> J/psi K-+/-)) is studied in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. The kinematic region investigated requires B-c(+/-) and B-+/- mesons with transverse momentum p(T) > 15 GeV and rapidity vertical bar y vertical bar J/psi pi(+/-)pi(+/-)pi(-/+) decay is also observed in the same data sample. Using a model-independent...
