We compared the detected THz power through electro-optic detection for different spot sizes of a probe beam on the < 110 > ZnTe crystal. We find that there is a proportional relationship between the detected THz power and spot size of the probe beam by theoretically analyzing its effect on the intensity profile of the terahertz beam.

Measurement of isolated photon production in pp and PbPb collisions at root s(NN)=2.76 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2012-04-01)
Isolated photon production is measured in proton-proton and lead-lead collisions at nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energies of 2.76 TeV in the pseudorapidity range vertical bar eta vertical bar < 1.44 and transverse energies E-T between 20 and 80 GeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. The measured ET spectra are found to be in good agreement with next-to-leading-order perturbative QCD predictions. The ratio of PbPb to pp isolated photon E-T-differential yields, scaled by the number of incoherent nucleon-nucl...
Photoconductivity of P3HT films measured by time-resolved THz spectroscopy
Esentürk, Okan; Heilweil, Edwin J. (Optical Society of America (OSA); 2007-01-01)
Photoconductivities of P3HT polymer films varying in molecular weight were directly measured and compared using optical pump-THz probe spectroscopy. Conductivities of P3HT polymers depend on the polymer length, ring orientation regularity and film morphology. © 2007 Optical Society of America.
3D scanning Hall probe microscopy with 700 nm resolution
DEDE, MUNIR; AKRAM, RİZWAN; Oral, Ahmet (2016-10-31)
In this report, we present a three dimensional (3D) imaging of magnetic field vector (B) over right arrow (x,y,z) emanating from the magnetic material surfaces using a scanning Hall probe microscopy (3D-SHPM) down to a 700 nm spatial resolution. The Hall probe is used to measure B-z(x,y) on the specimen surface at different heights with the step size of Delta z = 250 nm, as we move away from the surface in z direction, until the field decays to zero. These set of images are then used to get partial derivati...
Characteristics of nanoscale composites by THz spectroscopy
Altan, Hakan; Federici, John F; Lan, Aidong; Grebel, Haim (2004-02-27)
We have conducted visible pump-THz probe experiments on single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) deposited on quartz substrates. Our results suggest that the photoexcited nanotubes exhibit localized transport due to Lorentz-type photo-induced localized states. These experiments were repeated for ion-implanted, 3-4nm Si nanoclusters in quartz for which a similar behavior was observed.
Measurement of the Drell-Yan cross section in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2011-10-01)
The Drell-Yan differential cross section is measured in pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV, from a data sample collected with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb(-1). The cross section measurement, normalized to the measured cross section in the Z region, is reported for both the dimuon and dielectron channels in the dilepton invariant mass range 15-600 GeV. The normalized cross section values are quoted both in the full phase space and within the detector acceptance...
