Objective. The shape of the face can be estimated before the surgery by using 3-dimensional computer programs that provide tools to guide skill modifications. The aim of this study was to present the dynamic volume spline method to predict facial soft tissue changes after the modification of the skull associated with orthognathic surgery.

Investigation of the tribological behaviour of electrocodeposited Ni-MoS2 composite coatings
Güler, Ebru Saraloglu; Konca, Erkan; Karakaya, İshak (2017-01-01)
Objective. To discuss a patient with a prenatal diagnosis of unilateral isolated femoral focal deficiency. Case. Antenatal diagnosis of unilateral isolated femoral focal deficiency was made at 20 weeks of gestation. The length of left femur was shorter than the right, and fetal femur length was below the fifth percentile. Proximal femoral focal deficiency was diagnosed. After delivery, the diagnosis was confirmed with skeletal radiographs and magnetic resonance imaging. In prenatal ultrasonographic examinat...

A novel deep learning approach for classification of EEG motor imagery signals
TABAR, Yousef Rezaei; Halıcı, Uğur (IOP Publishing, 2017-02-01)
Objective. Signal classification is an important issue in brain computer interface (BCI) systems. Deep learning approaches have been used successfully in many recent studies to learn features and classify different types of data. However, the number of studies that employ these approaches on BCI applications is very limited. In this study we aim to use deep learning methods to improve classification performance of EEG motor imagery signals. Approach. In this study we investigate convolutional neural network...
Use of the CY-PSPP in other cultures: a preliminary investigation of its factorial validity for Turkish children and youth
Asci, FH; Eklund, RC; Whitehead, JR; Kirazcı, Sadettin; Koca, C (Elsevier BV, 2005-01-01)
Objective. Growing international interest in self-esteem research and awareness of its relevance to human well-being and motivation has led to new opportunities to evaluate the cross-national and cross-cultural generalizability of self-esteem measurement. theory, and research (Marsh, 2001). Accordingly. the purpose of this study was to evaluate a Turkish translation of the CY-PSPP.
