Analysis of the semileptonic B-c -> B(u)(*)l(+)l(-) decay from QCD sum rules

2006-08-01
We analyze the semileptonic B-c - B(u)(*)l(+)l(-) decay in the framework of the Standard Model. We calculate the B-c to B-u(*) transition form factors in QCD sum rules. Analytical expressions for the spectral densities and gluon condensates are presented. The branching ratio of the B-c -> B(u)(*)l(+)l(-) decay is calculated, and it is obtained that this decay can be detectable at forthcoming LHC machines.

Measurement of the t(t)over-bar production cross section in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV using the kinematic properties of events with leptons and jets
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2011-09-01)
A measurement of the t (t) over bar production cross section in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV has been performed at the LHC with the CMS detector. The analysis uses a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb(-1) and is based on the reconstruction of the final state with one isolated, high transverse-momentum electron or muon and three or more hadronic jets. The kinematic properties of the events are used to separate the t (t) over bar signal from W+jets a...
Semileptonic B ->eta iota nu decay in light cone QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ (American Physical Society (APS), 2003-05-01)
We study the semileptonic decay B --> eta/nu. The transition form factors for this decay are calculated by using light cone QCD sum rules. The branching ratio is estimated to be B(B --> etanu) = (1.6 +/- 0.8) x 10(-5).
Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+)l(-) decay in universal extra dimensions
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2007-03-01)
We study the exclusive Lambda(b) ->Lambda l(+)l(-)(l = mu,Gamma) decay in the Appelquist, Chang, Dobrescu model with a single universal extra dimension. We investigate the sensitivity of the branching ratio, lepton polarization and forward-backward asymmetry A(FB) to the compactification parameter 1/R. We obtain the result that the branching ratio for the Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+)l(-) (l = mu, T) decay changes about 25% compared to the SM value when 1/R = 250 GeV, and the zero position of the forward-backwar...
Measurement of the W+W- cross section in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV and limits on anomalous gauge couplings
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2016-07-01)
A measurement of the W boson pair production cross section in proton-proton collisions at root s = 8TeV is presented. The data collected with the CMS detector at the LHC correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.4 fb(-1). The W+W- candidates are selected from events with two charged leptons, electrons or muons, and large missing transverse energy. The measured W+W- cross section is 60.1 +/- 0.9 (stat) +/- 3.2 (exp) +/- 3.1 (theo) +/- 1.6 (lumi) pb = 60.1 +/- 4.8 pb, consistent with the standard model pre...
Analysis of various polarization asymmetries in the inclusive b -> s a"" (+) a"" (-) decay in the fourth-generation standard model
BASHIRY, VALİ; Bayar, M. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2009-06-01)
In this study a systematical analysis of various polarization asymmetries in inclusive b -> s a"" (+) a"" (-) decay in the standard model (SM) with four generation of quarks is carried out. We found that the various asymmetries are sensitive to the new mixing and quark masses for both of the mu and tau channels. Sizable deviations from the SM values are obtained. Hence, b -> s a"" (+) a"" (-) decay is a valuable tool for searching physics beyond the SM, especially in the indirect searches for the fourth-gen...
