Electromagnetic transitions among octet and decuplet baryons in QCD

The magnetic dipole G(M)(Q(2)), electric quadrupole G(E)(Q(2)), and Coulomb quadrupole G(C)(Q(2)) form factors, describing the spin-3/2 to spin-1/2 electromagnetic transitions, are investigated within the light cone QCD sum rules. The Q(2) dependence of these form factors, as well as ratios of electric quadrupole and Coulomb quadrupole form factors to the magnetic dipole form factors, are studied. We also compare our results on the magnetic dipole form factor with the prediction of the covariant spectator quark model.

Electromagnetic form factors of octet baryons in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Elsevier BV, 2013-06-10)
The electromagnetic form factors of octet baryons are estimated within light cone QCD sum rules method, using the most general form of the interpolating current for baryons. A comparison of our predictions on the magnetic dipole and electric form factors with the results of other approaches is performed.
Magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity J(PC)=2(--) mesons in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (2018-04-18)
Magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity light and heavy tensor mesons are calculated within the light cone QCD sum rules method. The results are compared with the positive parity counterparts of the corresponding tensor mesons. The results of the analysis show that the magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity light mesons are smaller compared to those of the positive parity mesons. Contrary to the light meson case, magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity heavy mesons are larger than the ...
Electromagnetic form factors of the rho meson in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (American Physical Society (APS), 2004-11-01)
We investigate the electromagnetic form factors of the rho meson in light cone QCD sum rules. We find that the ratio of the magnetic and charge form factors is larger than 2 at all values of Q(2), (Q(2)greater than or equal to0.5 GeV2). The values of the individual form factors at fixed values of Q(2) predicted by the light cone QCD sum rules are quite different compared to the results of other approaches. These results can be checked in the future, when more precise data on rho meson form factors is availa...
Electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments of the light decuplet baryons within light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (2009-11-02)
The electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments of the light decuplet baryons are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. The obtained non-vanishing values for the electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments of these baryons show nonspherical charge distribution. The sign of electric quadrupole moment is positive for Omega(-). Xi*(-), Sigma*(-) and negative for Sigma*(+), which correspond to the prolate and oblate charge distributions, respectively. A comparison of the obtai...
Magnetic dipole moment of the light tensor mesons in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (IOP Publishing, 2010-07-01)
The magnetic dipole moments of the light tensor mesons f(2), a(2) and the strange K-2*(0)(1430) tensor meson are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. It is observed that the values of the magnetic dipole moment for the charged tensor particles are considerably different from zero. These values are very close to zero for the light neutral f(2) and a(2) tensor mesons, while it has a small nonzero value for the neutral strange K-2*(0)(1430) tensor meson.
