The form factors of B-1 --> pi and D-1 --> pi transitions, where B-1(D-1) is the 1(+) P-wave <(Q)over bar gamma(nu)gamma(5)q> meson state, are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD. Furthermore, these form factors are compared with the pole dominance model prediction using the values of the strong coupling constants g(B1B*pi) and g(D1D*pi), and a good agreement between these two different descriptions is observed. General analysis of the polarization effects in N+N -> d+P processes
Yalcin, C; Rekalo, MP; Koru, H (IOP Publishing, 1998-05-01)
We establish the spin structure of matrix elements for N + N --> d + P processes, where P is a pi- or eta-meson, in terms of six scalar amplitudes. Isospin invariance of a strong interaction results in definite symmetry properties of these amplitudes relative to the change cos theta --> -cos theta; where theta is the P-meson production angle. We parametrize all possible polarization observables in n + p --> d + P using a formalism of structure functions and calculate these structure functions in terms of sc...
Strong coupling constant of negative parity octet baryons with light pseudoscalar mesons in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Elsevier BV, 2017-01-01)
The strong coupling constants of the pi and K mesons with negative parity octet baryons are estimated within the light cone QCD sum rules. It is observed that all strong coupling constants, similarly to the case for the positive parity baryons, can be described in terms of three invariant functions, where two of them correspond to the well known F and D couplings in the SU (3)(f) symmetry, and the third function describes the SU(3)(f) symmetry violating effects. We compare our predictions on the strong coup...
Dualisation of the general scalar coset in supergravity theories
Yilmaz, NT (Elsevier BV, 2003-08-04)
The dualised formulation of the symmetric space sigma model is peformed for a general scalar coset G/K where G is a maximally non-compact group and K is it's maximal compact subgroup. By using the twisted self-duality condition the general form of the first-order equations are obtained. The results are applied to the example of SL(2, R)/SO(2) scalar manifold of the IIB supergravity.
Dualisation of the Salam-Sugin D-8 supergravity
Dereli, T; Yilmaz, NT (Elsevier BV, 2004-07-19)
The first-order formulation of the Salam-Sezgin D = 8 supergravity coupled to N vector multiplets is discussed. The non-linear realization of the bosonic sector of the D = 8 matter coupled Salam-Sezgin supergravity is introduced by the dualisation of the fields and by constructing the Lie superalgebra of the symmetry group of the doubled field strength. Semileptonic B-q -> D-q*l nu (q=s,d,u) decays in QCD sum rules
Azizi, K.; Bayar, M. (American Physical Society (APS), 2008-09-01)
The form factors relevant to B-q -> D-q*(J(P) = 1(-))l nu (q = s, d, u) decays are calculated in the framework of the three point QCD sum rules approach. The heavy quark effective theory prediction of the form factors as well as 1/m(b) corrections to those form factors are obtained. A comparison of the results for the ratio of form factors at zero recoil limit and other values of q(2) with the predictions of the subleading Isgur-Wise form factor application for B -> D*l nu is presented. The total decay widt...
