Determination of f(0) - a(0)(0) mixing angle from QCD sum rules

2018-09-12
By assuming that the f(0) and a(0)(0) mesons are mixed states of the two-quark-tetraquark, the mixing angle between them is estimated within the QCD sum rules method, and it is obtained that the mixing angle is (6.03 +/- 0.08)degrees. Our prediction on the mixing angle can be checked in further experiments which can shed light on choosing the "right" structure of f(0) and a(0)(0) mesons.

Mixing angle of hadrons in QCD: A new view
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ (American Physical Society (APS), 2011-01-19)
A new method for calculation of the mixing angle between the hadrons within QCD sum rules is proposed. In this method, the mixing is expressed in terms of quark and gluon degrees of freedom. As an application, the detailed calculation of the mixing angle between heavy cascade baryons Xi(Q) and Xi'(Q), Q = c, b is presented and it is found that the mixing angle between Xi(b) (Xi(c)) and Xi'(b) (Xi'(c)) is given by theta(b) = 6.4 degrees +/- 1.8 degrees (theta(c) = 5.5 degrees +/- 1.8 degrees).
Analysis of Radial Excitations of Octet Baryons in QCD Sum Rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Bilmiş, Selçuk (Hindawi Limited, 2017-01-01)
Using the QCD sum rules method, we estimate the mass and residues of the first radial excitations of octet baryons. The contributions coming from the ground state baryons are eliminated by constructing the linear combinations of the sum rules corresponding to different Lorentz structures. Our predictions of the masses of the first radial excitations of octet baryons are in good agreement with the data.
Measurement of the mass of the top quark in decays with a J/psi meson in pp collisions 8 Tev
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2016-12-01)
A first measurement of the top quark mass in the decay channel t -> (W -> l nu)(b -> J/psi + X -> mu(+) + mu(-) + X) is presented. The analysis uses events selected from the proton-proton collisions recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 8TeV. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1), with 666 t (t) over bar and single top quark candidate events containing a reconstructed J/psi candidate decaying into an oppositely-charged muon pair. The mass of the (J/ps...
Measurement of differential and integrated fiducial cross sections for Higgs boson production in the four-lepton decay channel in pp collisions at root s=7 and 8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2016-04-01)
Integrated fiducial cross sections for the production of four leptons via the H -> 4l decays (l = e, mu) are measured in pp collisions at root s = 7 and 8TeV. Measurements are performed with data corresponding to integrated luminosities of 5.1 fb(-1) at 7TeV, and 19.7 fb(-1) at 8 TeV, collected with the CMS experiment at the LHC. Differential cross sections are measured using the 8 TeV data, and are determined as functions of the transverse momentum and rapidity of the four-lepton system, accompanying jet m...
Measurement of the ZZ production cross section and search for anomalous couplings in 2l2l' final states in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2013-01-01)
A measurement is presented of the ZZ production cross section in the ZZ -> 2l2l' decay mode with l = e, mu and l' = e, mu, tau in proton-proton collisions at root s = 7 TeV with the CMS experiment at the LHC. Results are based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb(-1). The measured cross section sigma(pp -> ZZ) = 6.24(-080)(+0.86) (stat.)(-0.32)(+0.41) (syst.) +/- 0.14 (lumi.) pb is consistent with the standard model predictions. The following limits on ZZZ and ZZ-gamma anomalous trili...
