SEARCH FOR NEW GAUGE BOSONS IN THE RADIATIVE DECAY Z-]GAMMA-X
DOBROLIUBOV, MI; Alıyev, Tahmasıb (1991-11-14)
We consider the decay Z --> gamma-X where X is a new gauge boson corresponding to an extra U'(1) gauge group factor and find that its partial width can be as large as 5% (the experimental limit for the width of a new decay mode), providing the limit for the X-boson coupling constant: alpha'X less than or similar to 0.1 M(X)/1 GeV)2.
Search for new long-lived particles at root s=13 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2018-05-01)
A search for long-lived particles was performed with data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.6 fb(-1) collected at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV by the CMS experiment in 2015. The analysis exploits two customized topological trigger algorithms, and uses the multiplicity of displaced jets to search for the presence of a signal decay occurring at distances between 1 and 1000 mm. The results can be interpreted in a variety of different models. For pair-produced long-lived particles decaying to ...
Search for R-parity violating decays of a top squark in proton-proton collisions at root s=8TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2016-09-01)
The results of a search for a supersymmetric partner of the top quark (top squark), pair-produced in proton-proton collisions at root s = 8 TeV, are presented. The search, which focuses on R-parity violating, chargino-mediated decays of the top squark, is performed in final states with low missing transverse momentum, two oppositely charged electrons or muons, and at least five jets. The analysis uses a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1)collected with the CMS detector at th...
Search for new phenomena with the M-T2 variable in the all-hadronic final state produced in proton-proton collisions at root s=13TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2017-10-01)
A search for new phenomena is performed using events with jets and significant transverse momentum imbalance, as inferred through the M-T2 variable. The results are based on a sample of proton-proton collisions collected in 2016 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the CMS detector and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1). No excess event yield is observed above the predicted standard model background, and the results are interpreted as exclusion limits at 95% confidence level on th...
Search for a non-standard-model Higgs boson decaying to a pair of new light bosons in four-muon final states
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2013-11-01)
Results are reported from a search for non-standard-model Higgs boson decays to pairs of new light bosons, each of which decays into the mu(+)mu(-) final state. The new bosons may be produced either promptly or via a decay chain. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 5.3 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions at root s = 7 TeV, recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2011. Such Higgs boson decays are predicted in several scenarios of new physics, including supersymmetric models with exten...
