The nucleon form factors in space-like and time-like regions
Tomasi-Gustafsson, E; Rekalo, MP (2002-02-25)
New data about electromagnetic form factors of the proton are discussed in terms of analyticity properties in space-like and in time-like region. From the constraints given by the Phragmen-Lindelof theorem, applied to the Sachs form factors, it turns out that the asymptotic regime can not be reached simultaneously for both form factors (electric and magnetic) up to s similar or equal to 14 GeV2. The angular dependence for the annihilation processes, such as (p) over bar + p e(+) + e(-), is sensitive to the...

Optimization of Just-in-Time Adaptive Interventions Using Reinforcement Learning
Gonul, Suat; Namli, Tuncay; Baskaya, Mert; Sinaci, Ali Anil; Coşar, Ahmet; Toroslu, İsmail Hakkı (2018-01-01)
Momentary context data is an important source for intelligent decision making towards personalization of mobile phone notifications. We propose a reinforcement learning based personalized notification delivery algorithm, reasoning over momentary context data. Beyond the state of the art, we propose new approaches for faster convergence of the algorithm and jump start of learning performance at the beginning of the learning process. We test our approach in both simulated and real settings trying to optimize ...
2-Amino-N-(2-furylmethyl)propanamide as a novel alanylglycine equivalent synthesized by bacilysin synthetase
Tuzun, I; Karatas, AY; Sesenoglu, O; Demir, AS; Özcengiz, Gülay (Elsevier BV, 2003-10-08)
Bacilysin is a dipeptide antibiotic composed of L-alanine and L-anticapsin. We recently reported partial purification and characterization of the bacilysin synthetase. In the present study, L-anticapsin in the in vitro reaction mixture was replaced by furfurylamine, norephedrine, glycine, and benzylamine, respectively. The enzymatic biosynthesis of novel structures was checked by TLC analyses of reaction mixture extracts and any positive TLC result was verified by GC-MS analysis. The enzyme was shown to lin...
Characterization of sheep liver N-acetyltransferase
Güray, Nülüfer Tülün (1997-05-01)
Acetyl-coenzyme A (AcCoA)-dependent arylamine N-acetyltransferase (NAT:EC 2.3.1.5) was isolated from sheep liver and the specific activity was found as 5.3+/-1.4x10(-3) (mean+/-SE, n=8) nmoles/ min/ mg protein. The effects of p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) and acetylCoA concentrations, pH, amount of enzyme and reaction period, on the enzyme activity were also studied and the optimum conditions for maximum activity of sheep liver NAT was determined. Sulfamethazine (SMZ) was used as a substrate in order to study ...
