Dark electrical conductivity and photoconductivity of Ga(4)Se(3)S layered single crystals
QASRAWI, ATEF FAYEZ HASAN; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2008-11-01)
Ga(4)Se(3)S layered crystals were studied through the dark electrical conductivity, and illumination- and temperature-dependent photoconductivity in the temperature region of 100-350 K. The dark electrical conductivity reflected the existence of two energy states located at 3 10 and 60 meV being dominant above and below 170 K, respectively. The photoconductivity measurements revealed the existence of another two energy levels located at 209 and 91 meV above and below 230 K. The photoconductivity was observe...
TRACE-ELEMENT COMPOSITION OF THE BLACK-SEA AEROSOLS
HACISALIHOGLU, G; BALKAS, TI; Tuncel, Süleyman Gürdal; HERMAN, DH; OLMEZ, I; TUNCEL, G (1991-01-01)
Shipboard aerosol samples collected from the Black Sea atmosphere were analysed for Al, Ca, Mg, Ti, V, Cl, I, Mn and Na, by using instrumental neutron activation technique. Concentrations of elements were intermediate between continental rural sites and remote marine sites. Back-trajectory calculations showed a general easterly flow. Observed enrichments of elements can be attributed to crustal, marine and anthropogenic sources. The (Mn)ner/(V)ner ratio showed differences with trajectory groups. The average...
White Masters and Dark Servants in A S Byatt s Morpho Eugenia
Öztabak Avcı, Elif (2011-12-01)
The aim of this paper is to read A. S. Byatt's novella, “Morpho Eugenia, ” from the perspective provided by the postcolonial paradigm shift regarding definitions of the “domestic.” In the light of the postcolonial contestation of conceptualizations of the domestic as an insular site exclusive of the “foreign, ” this paper is built on the premise that domestic has always been informed by what it has left outside its boundaries. I will argue that the country house, Bredely Hall, where the story is set in “Mor...
White light emitting devices by doping polyfluorene with two red emitters
de Deus, Jeferson F.; Faria, Gregorio C.; Faria, Roberto M.; Iamazaki, Eduardo T.; Atvars, Teresa D. Z.; Çırpan, Ali; Akcelrud, Leni (2013-02-01)
The photo and electroluminescent properties of a single-layer multi-component blend composed of only blue and red emitters were studied. The blue emitter poly(9,9-dihexyl-2,7-fluorene)] (LaPPS10) was used as the matrix, and the two red emitters, poly[2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexoxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene] (MEH-PPV) and 4-(dicyanomethylene)-2-methyl-6-(dimethylaminostyryl)-4H-pyrane (DCM), as the dopants. A detailed study of this system was performed in solution and in the solid state, comparing the photophysics...
VERTICAL VARIATIONS IN THE PRINCIPLE CHEMICAL-PROPERTIES OF THE BLACK-SEA IN THE AUTUMN OF 1991
BASTURK, O; SAYDAM, C; SALIHOGLU, I; EREMEEVA, LV; KONOVALOV, SK; STOYANOV, A; DIMITROV, A; COCIASU, A; DOROGAN, L; ALTABET, M (Elsevier BV, 1994-01-01)
Basin-wide principal hydrochemical data for the upper 500 m of the Black Sea were obtained at a total of 197 stations during a multi-ship, multi-institutional, HYDROBLACK-91 cruise in September 1991. Only offshore stations, 38 from the 1991 joint cruise, 5 from R/V Knorr (1988),16 from R/V Atlantis-II (1969), and 9 from R/V Bilim (1990) cruises, are considered in conjunction with the present and past data as a function of potential density rather than depth. The oxycline, coinciding with the upper boundary ...
