The temperature dependences of the damping constant and the order parameter are calculated for the lattice mode of E (1TO) in PbTiO3 using the experimental data by the pseudospin- phonon coupled model and the enrgy fluctuation model. Calculation of the damping constant of soft mode is performed in the temperature range of 400- 490 degrees C close to the ferroelectric- paraelectric transition (T-C= 493 degrees C) in PbTiO3. By relating the frequency to the order parameter, the temperature dependence of the Raman frequency for the E (1TO) mode is calculated in the ferroelectric phase of PbTiO3 using the molecular field theory.

Critical behaviour of the dielectric constant for the smectic AC* transition under the electric field in ferroelectric liquid crystals
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (2012-01-01)
The temperature dependencies of the dielectric constant and the tilt angle (order parameter) are calculated under the electric field for the smectic A-smectic C* (AC*) transition in 4-(3-methyl-2-chlorobutanoyloxy)-4'-heptyloxybiphenyl (A7). The dielectric constant is fitted to the experimental data by using our mean field model with the biquadratic coupling between the spontaneous polarisation P and the tilt angle theta. Our results show that the mean field model with the P-2 theta(2) coupling describes sa...
Spontaneous polarization close to phase transitions in NaNO2
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit; Tari, O (2001-08-01)
We give here the calculation of the order parameter and the spontaneous polarization as functions of temperature using the mean field model close to the phase transitions in NaNO2. We have fitted our calculated order parameter to the observed one from the literature. From this fitting, we have then calculated the spontaneous polarization as a function of temperature close to the phase transitions in NaNO2. Our calculated spontaneous polarization is in good agreement with the observed spontaneous polarizatio...
Calculation of the ν4 (NH4) IR Mode Frequency and the Damping Constant (FWHM) close to the Phase Transitions in NH4ZN(HCOO)3 and ND4ZN(DCOO)3
KURT, ARZU; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit; KURT, MUSTAFA (2019-09-01)
Temperature dependence of the IR frequency and the damping constant (FWHM) of the ν4(1440 cm-1) NH4+and ν4(1084 cm-1) ND4+ modes, are calculated for the metal formate frameworks (MOFs) of NH4Zn(HCOO)3 and ND4Zn(DCOO)3, respectively, by using the experimental data from the literature. By assuming the IR frequency of the ν4 mode as an order parameter, its temperature dependence is calculated close to the phase transition (TC=191 K) in the NH4Zn(HCOO)3 and ND4Zn(DCOO)3 by the molecular field theory. The temper...

Calculation of the Resonant Frequencies in the Vicinity of the Transition in Quartz
Lider, M. C.; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2015-07-01)
The transition (847 K) in quartz is investigated using the temperature dependence of the resonant frequency and of the lattice constant which are correlated by means of the mode Gruneisen parameter. By determining the mode Gruneisen parameter, the resonant frequencies are predicted in the vicinity of the transition in quartz. This calculation is extended to low temperatures (down to about , and the resonant frequencies are predicted at low temperatures using the lattice parameter data for quartz. Prediction...
