In this paper, a Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave Radar is built using radio frequency techniques. Radar can measure the nearest object's range from 2 to 30 meters with 1-meter range resolution. The design process was carried out by using computer-aided design techniques, and mathematical tools. The hardware prototype was built and measurements were carried out confirming successful operation of the range detection radar.

In this work, multi frequency continuous wave radar phase unwrapping and the target tracking algorithm are combined. In order to unwrap the wrapped measurement, the unwrapped range measurement or the predicted range is utilized. Methods are assessed with the simulations and field tests. A general analysis of a frequency diverse transmit array antenna with a periodic modulated pattern in range, angle and time is presented. This antenna array system makes a continuous scanning in range and angle without using any phase shifters.
