Paleobathymetric evolution of the Miocene deposits of the Gombe sector of the Lycian Foreland and Aksu basins in Antalya, Turkey
Sis, Fatih Seckin; Kouwenhoven, Tanja; Koç, Ayten; Kaymakcı, Nuretdin (2020-01-01)
The evolution of the Lycian Foreland and Aksu basins are associated with the Africa-Eurasia convergence and collision of intervening continental blocks. Both basins developed around the Beydaglari, a Mesozoic carbonate platform, which constitutes the main component and western limb of the Isparta Angle. The Gombe Basin is an integral part of the Lycian Foreland Basin that comprises mainly Eocene to Late Miocene turbidites, onto which the allochthonous Lycian and Antalya nappes thrust over. The Aksu Basin, h...
Cyclacenes having dislocated rings
Türker, Burhan Lemi (2001-02-23)
Clockwise and anticlockwise dislocation operation on cyclacenes were defined. Certain types of dislocated cyclacenes were subjected to AMI type semiempirical molecular orbital calculations in order to get some idea about these nonexistent structures. They were predicted to be more stable than the isomeric cyclacenes. The cryptoannulenic effect, which is the characteristic feature of the cyclacenes. subsides or disappears depending on the type of the dislocated system.
Wax deposition in horizontal wells
Ozbayoglu, M.E.; Demiral, B.; Kök, Mustafa Verşan (2000-01-01)
In this research, wax deposition in horizontal well bores was studied. In a horizontal well, the main mechanism for wax appearance is the pressure change rather than the temperature change. Six different thermodynamic models were improved for horizontal wells by adding a pressure function, and a computer program was developed to simulate the precipitation phenomena in horizontal wells. Solid-liquid equilibrium constants for each pseudo-component were calculated. Critical pressures and overall solid mole fac...
Applications of simulated annealing for the design of special digital filters - Comments
Çiloğlu, Tolga; Ünver, Zafer (1996-04-01)
The way of measuring the performance of a discrete coefficient filter which is designed by scaling optimization is discussed.
DFT studies and vibrational spectra of trans 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene and its zinc(II)halide complexes
Ozhamam, Z; Yurdakul, Murat Hayrettin; Yurdakul, S (2006-03-17)
The geometry, frequency and intensity of the vibrational bands of trans 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene (which is abbreviated as bpe) were obtained using the density functional theory (DFT) with the BLYP, B3LYP, B3PW91 functionals and 6-311G* basis set.
