A graph signal filtering-based approach for detection of differentedge types on airborne lidar data,
Bayram, Eda; Vural, Elif; Alatan, Abdullah Aydın (2017-09-14)
Airborne Laser Scanning is a well-known remote sensing technology, which provides a dense and highly accurate, yet unorganized point cloud of earth surface. During the last decade, extracting information from the data generated by airborne LiDAR systems has been addressed by many studies in geo-spatial analysis and urban monitoring applications. However, the processing of LiDAR point clouds is challenging due to their irregular structure and 3D geometry. In this study, we propose a novel framework for the d...

A Graph-Based Approach for Video Scene Detection
Sakarya, Ufuk; Telatar, Zjya (2008-04-22)
In this paper, a graph-based method for video scene detection is proposed. The method is based on a weighted undirected graph. Each shot is a vertex on the graph. Edge weights among the vertices are evaluated by using spatial and temporal similarities of shots. By using the complete information of the graph, a set of the vertices mostly similar to each other and dissimilar to the others is detected. Temporal continuity constraint is achieved on this set. This set is the first detected video scene. The verti...
A Link delay computation method for the quality of service support in software defined networks
Balo, Efe; Güran Schmidt, Ece.; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2019)
Packet switched networks cannot provide tight delay bounds that are required by certain types of applications despite facilitating high throughput. Therefore, delay measurementtechniquesforpacket-switchednetworkshavealwaysgrabbedtheattention of the community to both utilize advantages of packet-switched networks and provide a realistic end to end delay prediction of packets. Software Defined Networking (SDN) isa new paradigmofpacket-switchednetworkingwhichgathersmanagement functionality of network in a logic...
