Published by Elsevier B.V.All rights reserved.Applying Model Driven Architecture (MDA) concepts and tools to Multi Agent Systems (MAS) is a topic of great interest in recent years. MDA intends to reduce computer code development effort via model transformations and makes complex systems available and more practical for research. In this work, we propose a model transformation process for a widely used agent-based modeling and simulation tool, RePast Simphony. We adopt SysML for the platform-independent specification of an agent. We provide platform-independent and platform-specific models for an agent model, a mapping between them and a meta-model specification for RePast Flowchart Diagrams. We show the process for a SysML to RePast round-trip model transformation. Our work covers transformations to/from SysML Activity Diagram from/to RePast Flowchart Diagram.

Design optimization of tool holder extension for enhanced chatter stability by using component mode tuning method
Karataş, G.; Özşahin, Orkun; Özgüven, Hasan Nevzat; Budak, E. (2020-01-01)
© 2020 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.Tool overhang length tuning by matching the modes of the tool-holder extension-holder-spindle (TEHS) assembly components creating dynamic absorber effect is one of the rare chatter suppression techniques. In some milling applications, a tool-holder extension may have to be used to increase the overall tool overhang length for reaching far sections of the workpiece. In this work, design parameters of the holder extension and the tool are optimized simultaneously ...
Multi objective optimization of water jet guided laser micro drilling on Inconel 718 using Taguchi Method
Subasi, Levent; Gökler, Mustafa İlhan; Yaman, Ulaş (2020-01-01)
© 2020 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.Water jet guided laser overcomes the adverse effects of conventional laser cutting and drilling processes, such as heat-affected-zone, spatter, burr formation, etc. Pressurized water in this novel process provides focusing, cooling and cleaning on the cut region, eliminating undesired side effects of the laser. The process is nowadays used in energy and aerospace industries for drilling micro cooling holes on turbine blades made of super alloys. However, more re...
Representing preferences by choquet integral: Guidelines to specify the capacity type
Dolgun, Leman Esra; Burnak, Nimetullah; Köksal, Gülser (Growing Science, 2020-06-01)
© 2020 by the authors; licensee Growing Science, Canada. This study considers representing decision maker preferences by Choquet integral in existence of interactions among criteria. Parameters of the Choquet integral are capacities which assign weights not only to criteria but also to each subset of criteria. This property provides Choquet integral with the ability of modeling some types of interactions. Different capacity types with different degrees of complexity have been defined in the literature. After...
Techno-economic comparative analysis of renewable energy systems: Case study in Zimbabwe
Al-Ghussain, Loiy; Samu, Remember; Taylan, Onur; Fahrioglu, Murat (2020-09-01)
© 2020 by the authors. Licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.Fluctuations in fossil fuel prices significantly affect the economies of countries, especially oil-importing countries, hence these countries are thoroughly investigating the increase in the utilization of renewable energy resources as it is abundant and locally available in all the countries despite challenges. Renewable energy systems (RES) such as solar and wind systems offer suitable alternatives for fossil fuels and could ensure the energy securi...
Classification of permutation polynomials of the form x3g(xq-1) of Fq2 where g(x) = x3+ bx+ c and b,c∈Fq∗
Özbudak, Ferruh; Gülmez Temür, Burcu (2022-07-01)
© 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature. We classify all permutation polynomials of the form x3g(xq-1) of Fq2 where g(x) = x3+ bx+ c and b,c∈Fq∗. Moreover we find new examples of permutation polynomials and we correct some contradictory statements in the recent literature. We assume that gcd (3 , q- 1) = 1 and we use a well known criterion due to Wan and Lidl, Park and Lee, Akbary and Wang, Wang, and Zieve.
