High Resolution XMM-Newton Data of Nova Outbursts using Warm & Hot Absorber Models

We reanalyze a selection of the XMM-Newton RGS (Reflection Grating Spectrometer) data of two classical novae; V4743 Sgr and V2491 Cyg. The high resolution nova spectra in the X-ray wavelengths show existence of absorption features (e.g., blue shifted). Our main aim is to model the absorption components detected in the high resolution spectra independently from the assumed continuum model. We assume that there is complex absorption of interstellar, photospheric, and of collisionally and/or photoionized gas origin in the moving material along the line of sight from a nova wind or ejecta. In addition to deriving the absorption properties, we obtain CNO abundances of elements in the ejecta/nova wind.

This paper presents the analytical proof of "Time-Domain Mapping Method" for the spherical resonator made up of uniaxial crystal. In this way, the main types of caustics inside the spherical resonator made up of uniaxial crystal, which were investigated numerically before, are confirmed analytically. It is engraved that the problem of the ray flow inside the spherical resonator can be reduced to the problem of the ray flow inside metal cavity shaped as spheroid.
CCD photometry of V2275 Cygni (N Cyg 2001 No.2) in 2002-2003

We present the CCD photometry, light curve and time series analysis of the classical nova V2275 Cyg. The source is observed for 14 nights in total using standard R filters in 2002 and 2003 with the 1.5m Russian-Turkish joint telescope (RTT150) at the TUBITAK National Observatory (TUG) in Antalya Turkey. We demonstrate chip-scale flat-top filters at near-IR wavelengths using negative index photonic crystal based MachZehnder interferometers.
