Polarization effects for the process (p)over-bar + p --> (Lambda)over-bar + Lambda are studied for the collinear Lambda-production. Using the triplet channel dominance hypothesis for the (p)over-bar p-annihilation, we prove that the longitudinal polarization transfer coefficient from the initial proton to final Lambda hyperon must be positive in this kinematical regime, independently of any model. The exact value of this coefficient, however, depends on the sign of the strange quark contribution to the proton spin, for relatively small momentum transfer.

Polarization phenomena in open charm photoproduction processes
Tomasi-Gustafsson, E; Rekalo, MP (American Physical Society (APS), 2004-05-01)
We analyze polarization effects in the associative photoproduction of pseudoscalar ((D) over bar (c)) charmed mesons in exclusive processes gamma+N-->Y-c+(D) over bar (c), Y-c=Lambda(c)(+), Sigma(c). Circularly polarized photons induce nonzero polarization of the Y-c hyperon with x and z components (in the reaction plane) and nonvanishing asymmetries A(x) and A(z) for polarized nucleon targets. These polarization observables can be predicted in a model-independent way for the exclusive (D) over bar (c)-prod...
Flavor-changing neutral currents transition of the Sigma(Q) to nucleon in full QCD and heavy quark effective theory
AZİZİ, KAZEM; BAYAR, MELAHAT; Zeyrek, Mehmet Tevfik (IOP Publishing, 2010-08-01)
The loop-level flavor-changing neutral currents transitions of the Sigma(b) -> nl(+)l(-) and Sigma(c) -> pl(+)l(-) are investigated in full QCD and heavy quark effective theory in the light cone QCD sum rules approach. Using the most general form of the interpolating current for Sigma(Q), Q = b or c, as members of the recently discovered sextet heavy baryons with spin 1/2 and containing one heavy quark, the transition form factors are calculated using two sets of input parameters entering the nucleon distri...
Charged-particle nuclear modification factors in PbPb and pPb collisions at root s(NN)=5.02 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2017-04-01)
The spectra of charged particles produced within the pseudorapidity window vertical bar eta vertical bar 20 GeV, R-pA exhibits weak momentum dependence and shows a moderate enhancement above unity.
Light cone QCD sum rules analysis of the axial N ->Delta transition form factors
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ (Elsevier BV, 2008-02-01)
The axial N - Delta(1232) transition form factors are calculated within the light cone QCD sum rules method. A comparison of our results with the predictions of lattice theory and quark model is presented.
Double-lepton polarization asymmetries in the exclusive B ->rho l+l(-) decay beyond the standard model
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (American Physical Society (APS), 2005-08-01)
The double-lepton polarization asymmetries in B ->rho l(+)l(-) decay are analyzed in a model independent framework. The general expressions for nine double-polarization asymmetries are calculated. It is shown that the study of the double-lepton polarization asymmetries proves to be a very useful tool in looking for new physics beyond the standard model.
