In this paper we investigate multinormed W*-algebras in terms of the central topologies of W*-algebras. The main result asserts that each multinormed W*-algebra can be realized as a local von Neumann algebra on a certain domain in a Hilbert space. Moreover, it admits the predual (unique up to an isometry), which is the l(1)-normed space. In the normed case the assertion is reduced to the known Sakai theorem.

Noncommutative affine spaces and Lie-complete rings
Dosi, Anar (2015-02-01)
In this paper, we investigate the structure sheaves of an (infinite-dimensional) affine NC-space A(nc)(x) affine Lie-space A(lich)(x), and their nilpotent perturbations A(nc,q)(x) and A(lich),(x)(q) respectively. We prove that the schemes A(nc)(x) and A(lich)(x) are identical if and only if x is a finite set of variables, that is, when we deal with finite-dimensional noncommutative affine spaces. For each (Zariski) open subset U subset of X = Spec(C vertical bar x vertical bar), we obtain the precise descri...
Affine Osserman connections and their Riemann extensions
Garcia-Rio, E; Kupeli, DN; Vazquez-Abal, ME; Vazquez-Lorenzo, R (Elsevier BV, 1999-09-01)
Osserman property is studied for affine torsion-free connections with special attention to the 2-dimensional case. As an application, examples of nonsymmetric and even not locally homogeneous Osserman pseudo-Riemannian metrics are constructed on the cotangent bundle of a manifold equipped with a torsionfree connection by looking at their Riemann extensions. Also, timelike and spacelike Osserman conditions are analyzed for general pseudo-Riemannian manifolds showing that they are equivalent.
Commutators, Lefschetz fibrations and the signatures of surface bundles
Endo, H; Korkmaz, Mustafa; Kotschick, D; Ozbagci, B; Stipsicz, A (Elsevier BV, 2002-09-01)
We construct examples of Lefschetz fibrations with prescribed singular fibers. By taking differences of pairs of such fibrations with the same singular fibers, we obtain new examples of surface bundles over surfaces with nonzero signature. From these we derive new upper bounds for the minimal genus of a surface representing a given element in the second homology of a mapping class group.
On endomorphisms of surface mapping class groups
Korkmaz, Mustafa (Elsevier BV, 2001-05-01)
In this paper, we prove that every endomorphism of the mapping class group of an orientable surface onto a subgroup of finite index is in fact an automorphism.
Quantum systems and representation theorem
Dosi, Anar (2013-09-01)
In this paper we investigate quantum systems which are locally convex versions of abstract operator systems. Our approach is based on the duality theory for unital quantum cones. We prove the unital bipolar theorem and provide a representation theorem for a quantum system being represented as a quantum -system.
