Thermoluminescence properties of TlGaSeS layered single crystals were investigated in the temperature range of 280-720 K. Thermoluminescence glow curve exhibited three peaks with maximum temperatures of approximate to 370, 437, and 490 K. Curve fitting, initial rise and peak shape methods were used to determine the activation energies of the trapping centers. All applied methods resulted with energies around 0.82, 0.91, and 0.99 eV. Dose dependence of the thermoluminescence intensity was also examined for the doses in the range of 0.7-457.6 Gy. Peak maximum intensity of the observed peak around 370 K showed an increase up to a certain dose and then a decrease at higher doses. This non-monotonic dose dependence was discussed under the light of a reported model in which different kinds of competition between radiative and nonradiative recombination centers during excitation or heating stages of the thermoluminescence process are explained.

Properties of Neon, Magnesium, and Silicon Primary Cosmic Rays Results from the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer
Aguilar, M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2020-05-29)
We report the observation of new properties of primary cosmic rays, neon (Ne), magnesium (Mg), and silicon (Si), measured in the rigidity range 2.15 GV to 3.0 TV with 1.8 x 10(6) Ne, 2.2 x 10(6) Mg, and 1.6 x 10(6) Si nuclei collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer experiment on the International Space Station. The Ne and Mg spectra have identical rigidity dependence above 3.65 GV. The three spectra have identical rigidity dependence above 86.5 GV, deviate from a single power law above 200 GV, and harde...
Observation of the Identical Rigidity Dependence of He, C, and O Cosmic Rays at High Rigidities by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer on the International Space Station
Aguilar, M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2017-12-18)
We report the observation of new properties of primary cosmic rays He, C, and O measured in the rigidity (momentum/charge) range 2 GV to 3 TV with 90 x 10(6) helium, 8.4 x 10(6) carbon, and 7.0 x 10(6) oxygen nuclei collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer ( AMS) during the first five years of operation. Above 60 GV, these three spectra have identical rigidity dependence. They all deviate from a single power law above 200 GV and harden in an identical way.
Excitation intensity- and temperature-dependent photoluminescence in layered structured Tl2GaInSe2S2 crystals
Hasanlı, Nızamı (AIP Publishing, 2013-02-21)
Photoluminescence spectra of Tl2GaInSe2S2 layered crystals have been registered in the temperature range of 17-62 K and in the wavelength region of 525-690 nm. A broad visible photoluminescence band centered at 590 nm (2.10 eV) was observed at T 17 K. Variation of emission band has been studied as a function of laser excitation intensity in the 0.1-55.7 mW cm(-2) range. The analysis of the spectra reveals that the peak energy position changes with excitation intensity (blue shift). The radiative transitions...
Measurement of Long-Range Near-Side Two-Particle Angular Correlations in pp Collisions at root s=13 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2016-04-01)
Results on two-particle angular correlations for charged particles produced in pp collisions at a center-of- mass energy of 13 TeV are presented. The data were taken with the CMS detector at the LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of about 270 nb(-1). The correlations are studied over a broad range of pseudorapidity (vertical bar eta vertical bar 2.0), near-side (Delta phi approximate to 0) structure emerges in the two-particle Delta eta-Delta phi correlation functions. The magnitude of the corr...
Measurement of the Top Quark Pair Production Cross Section in Proton-Proton Collisions at root s=13 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2016-02-01)
The top quark pair production cross section is measured for the first time in proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC, using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 43 pb(-1). The measurement is performed by analyzing events with at least one electron and one muon of opposite charge, and at least two jets. The measured cross section is 746 +/- 58(stat) +/- 53(syst) +/- 36(lumi) pb, in agreement with the expectation from the standard model.
