We report the observation of new properties of primary cosmic rays He, C, and O measured in the rigidity (momentum/charge) range 2 GV to 3 TV with 90 x 10(6) helium, 8.4 x 10(6) carbon, and 7.0 x 10(6) oxygen nuclei collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer ( AMS) during the first five years of operation. Above 60 GV, these three spectra have identical rigidity dependence. They all deviate from a single power law above 200 GV and harden in an identical way.

Observation of New Properties of Secondary Cosmic Rays Lithium, Beryllium, and Boron by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer on the International Space Station
Aguilar, M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2018-01-11)
We report on the observation of new properties of secondary cosmic rays Li, Be, and B measured in the rigidity (momentum per unit charge) range 1.9 GV to 3.3 TV with a total of 5.4 x 10(6) nuclei collected by AMS during the first five years of operation aboard the International Space Station. The Li and B fluxes have an identical rigidity dependence above 7 GV and all three fluxes have an identical rigidity dependence above 30 GV with the Li/Be flux ratio of 2.0 +/- 0.1. The three fluxes deviate from a sing...
Properties of Neon, Magnesium, and Silicon Primary Cosmic Rays Results from the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer
Aguilar, M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2020-05-29)
We report the observation of new properties of primary cosmic rays, neon (Ne), magnesium (Mg), and silicon (Si), measured in the rigidity range 2.15 GV to 3.0 TV with 1.8 x 10(6) Ne, 2.2 x 10(6) Mg, and 1.6 x 10(6) Si nuclei collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer experiment on the International Space Station. The Ne and Mg spectra have identical rigidity dependence above 3.65 GV. The three spectra have identical rigidity dependence above 86.5 GV, deviate from a single power law above 200 GV, and harde...
First Result from the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer on the International Space Station: Precision Measurement of the Positron Fraction in Primary Cosmic Rays of 0.5-350 GeV
Aguilar, M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2013-04-03)
A precision measurement by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer on the International Space Station of the positron fraction in primary cosmic rays in the energy range from 0.5 to 350 GeV based on 6.8 x 10(6) positron and electron events is presented. The very accurate data show that the positron fraction is steadily increasing from 10 to similar to 250 GeV, but, from 20 to 250 GeV, the slope decreases by an order of magnitude. The positron fraction spectrum shows no fine structure, and the positron to electron r...
Measurement of Long-Range Near-Side Two-Particle Angular Correlations in pp Collisions at root s=13 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2016-04-01)
Results on two-particle angular correlations for charged particles produced in pp collisions at a center-of- mass energy of 13 TeV are presented. The data were taken with the CMS detector at the LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of about 270 nb(-1). The correlations are studied over a broad range of pseudorapidity (vertical bar eta vertical bar 2.0), near-side (Delta phi approximate to 0) structure emerges in the two-particle Delta eta-Delta phi correlation functions. The magnitude of the corr...
Analysis of Thermoluminescence Glow Peaks in beta-Irradiated TlGaSeS Crystals
IŞIK, MEHMET; YILDIRIM, TACETTİN; Gasanly, N. M. (Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, 2016-06-01)
Thermoluminescence properties of TlGaSeS layered single crystals were investigated in the temperature range of 280-720 K. Thermoluminescence glow curve exhibited three peaks with maximum temperatures of approximate to 370, 437, and 490 K. Curve fitting, initial rise and peak shape methods were used to determine the activation energies of the trapping centers. All applied methods resulted with energies around 0.82, 0.91, and 0.99 eV. Dose dependence of the thermoluminescence intensity was also examined for t...
